Looking for a spooktacular family adventure this half term? 🎃

From 24 October to 1 November (closed 29 & 30 October), little explorers can take on the much-loved Pumpkin Hunt Trail at East Riddlesden Hall.

Pick up a trail sheet on arrival and search the gardens for hidden pumpkins, each revealing a letter. Work together to solve the clues and uncover the secret Halloween word! 🍂

✨ New for this year: Step inside the historic buildings and hunt for mysterious protection marks carved into walls hundreds of years ago. Believed to have been created to guard the home from witchcraft and evil spirits, these fascinating symbols offer a glimpse into the spooky superstitions of the past.

The trail is included with admission at no extra cost, making it the perfect way to enjoy some Halloween fun while uncovering hidden stories around the hall and gardens.

From hidden details to remarkable tales of the people who lived here, the volunteers will bring the Hall's history to life.

Apple Festival at East Riddlesden Hall this Saturday 🍎

Celebrate the apple harvest with us in the gardens at East Riddlesden Hall. Sample a variety of apples grown on site, discover your favourite and cast your vote, then enjoy a taste of freshly pressed apple juice.

Senior Gardener Ben and the volunteer team will be sharing their expertise on fruit growing and apple tree care throughout the day, with talks and demonstrations taking place at 11am and 1pm.

The Pumpkin Trail is back this October half term! 👻🎃

From 24 October to 1 November, you can join the Pumpkin trail at East Riddlesden Hall.

🕯️ Creaking floorboards and shadowy corridors await inside the Hall, where little explorers can enjoy a hauntingly fun Halloween hunt.

🎃 Then head out into the gardens to search for the hidden pumpkins. Can you brave the autumn chill, find them all, and uncover the secret word?

✂️ Don’t forget to stop by the Discovery Room, where you can get creative and make your very own spooky Halloween craft to take home.

Facilities Volunteer Opportunity at East Riddlesden Hall 🔧

Do you have practical skills in areas such as joinery, plumbing, or decorating? Would you like the opportunity to showcase your skills while developing new ones? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are currently looking for two Facilities Volunteers to join us at East Riddlesden Hall.

Effective facilities management is essential to the smooth running of our site. It encompasses a wide range of activities that support both our people and our historic property, often working behind the scenes to keep everything operating smoothly.

Volunteering with the National Trust is a fantastic way to make a difference and help us care for nature, heritage, and history for future generations to enjoy. It is also a great opportunity to gain new skills, meet new people, and spend time in a beautiful and inspiring setting.

Discover East Riddlesden Hall for FREE this Sunday! 🏛

Join us on Sunday 13 September for Heritage Open Days and explore the fascinating stories of East Riddlesden Hall as part of England's largest festival of history and culture.

No booking is required for general visits. Simply come along and enjoy the day.

Learn more about the people and everyday histories that shaped this special place. Guided house tours will take place at 11am and 1.30pm.

Places are limited, so free tour tickets must be collected on arrival and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
