THERE WILL BE REFRESHMENT STOPS ALONG THE WAY.
Hopefully you will start with a full tank of fuel as fuel stations will be few and far between. It is recommended that you have breakdown cover as we will not be able to recover your bike.
You will be riding at your own risk.
The ride will be led by Blood Bikers who will also be mixed in with you and there will be a tail end Charlie who's position will never change.
We will be avoiding A roads whenever possible and it will be mainly B and C roads. .
A lot of the roads will have grass growing in the middle, a few with broken tarmac There will be tea/coffee breaks and opportunities for taking photographs.
This can be undertaken by any bike, scooter, moped, 4X4 as due to the nature of the roads it will be a slow pace.
As we are a charity that relies on public donations to keep our vehicles on the road and everyone gives their time free, a minimum donation of £10 is asked for help to keep us on the road.
East Midlands Blood Bikes (EMBB) are a group of volunteers who provide vital services to the NHS completely free of charge. We deliver human breast milk, blood, medical supplies and equipment anywhere in the country.
Our services are provided 24/7. We provide this service at no cost at all to the NHS with a large emphasis on making a huge difference to public health, to help reduce bed blocking and save the NHS vast sums of money enabling them to provide a better service overall.
Blood and Blood Products - We provide a professional and reliable out of hours transport service for Blood and Blood products, 365 days a year. We also provide GP's with the ability to offer evening and weekend Clinics by transporting their samples to the Pathology Department so no more having to
take the day off work
Also a big thank you to Judy Richter of Charlie Farley Bike Tours who raised many hundred of pounds for our charity last year with her sponsored bike rides in aid of us, so if you fancy great tours at a reasonable price check out her website.
How to help group riding, so we all get to where we want to go.
