Rotary Amber Valley were pleased to welcome the Mayor of Ripley, Councillor Nigel Weaving and his consort, Councillor Phyllis Weaving, to their recent meeting. At the meeting the speaker was Dionnne Reid from the charity Women’s Work Derbyshire, accompanied by her colleague, Sinder Gill. The charity's mission is to provide women and their families from across Derbyshire with the essential skills and self-belief to move forward on their journey towards living an empowered life. Women's Work provides personalised programmes of support to improve mental well-being, support access to other services, and act as a springboard to a better quality of life. An extremely interesting talk and Dionne can be seen above receiving a cheque from President Chris to help this charity in its work.
