R2D2 was done for until he came to our May Repair Cafe.🤩

With a bit of poking round our fixer unjammed his switch and a message from a princess was projected into the air, demanding we save the world and all that!

Well, we ALWAYS do what princesses tell us so we will be back to save the world, one toaster at a time, at June 2026 Huddersfield Repair Cafe .
Saturday June 13th , 11 am - 2.30pm at S2R Create Space on Brook Street, by Huddersfield Open Market .

We also had a visit from the R2D2 fan club!

Here's a happy fixer, getting stuck into some cogs and stuff at our May Repair Cafe !
This was a portable cassette player with a disintegrated belt. Sean
cleaned up the motor pinion and found another belt that was a perfect fit , everyone happy.🤩
We're open to look at more of your broken bits and bobs on Saturday 13th June at S2R Create Space , on Brook Street , by the open market. 11 am -2.30pm . Check out the event page for more details .

Our fixers will be back doing the do at June 2026 Huddersfield Repair Cafe on Saturday 13th June , but first you can find some of them being super helpful at Slawit Repair Cafe this Sunday 7th June 10 am-1pm. 😃

A busy day at Huddersfield Repair Cafe with a queue forming outside the door before 11am. Thanks to everyone who came down, lots of lovely chat over tea, coffee and fixin' in out of the rain at S2R Create Space .
We'll be back again on Saturday 13th June 11 am til 2.30pm but if you can't wait check out the other local repair cafes running between now and then in the featured post at the top of the page☝️.

May Huddersfield Repair Cafe under way! Very busy start with quite a few people waiting. If you are thinking of coming down we suggest give it an hour or so to allow our fixers time to catch up.

Headphones, an amplifier, a robot vacuum cleaner, a cuckoo clock - just some of the items our fixers tackled at our last repair cafe ! We're back again this Saturday 9th May 11 am -2.30pm, at S2R Create Space, Brook Street, by Huddersfield Open Market. No booking needed, we'll look at most stuff, but no microwaves or TVs bigger than 36 " please!
