**Back to school…**

September can feel like a fresh start, new uniforms, new routines, new school years.

But for young women living with or beyond cancer, life doesn’t always follow the timeline you expected. A school run might mean something different when you’re balancing appointments, treatment, recovery, work, family life and everything in between.

And for some young women, watching their children reach milestones can bring a mixture of joy, pride and emotions that are difficult to put into words.

At Victoria's Promise, we’re here to support young women through the many challenges of cancer, including all the moments that come after diagnosis and treatment.

Because getting back to everyday life can be a milestone in itself 💜

As we near the end of the summer is nice to reflect on creating some positivity. This was some feedback from a recent survey at the start of the summer and is a reminded of the positive impact we aim to make.

Now the weather is a little cooler its easier to start thinking about some running?!

We’re gearing up for the Destination Basingstoke Half Marathon 2026 on Sunday 4th October — and we want YOU on the team!

Thank you to the Fun Run & Road Races for their kind grant which we have just been awarded.

This will help us to support local young women, and members of their family who are dealing with the many challenges that a cancer diagnosis brings. Thank you, we are so grateful for your support and your grant will help us to make a meaningful impact 💜

With the heatwave here, remember to take care of yourself while enjoying the sunshine. Stay hydrated, keep cool, take breaks from the heat and try to avoid the hottest part of the day.

Whether it’s relaxing in the shade, enjoying an ice lolly or spending time with loved ones, there are plenty of ways to enjoy summer at your own pace.

Take care of yourself, listen to your body and make those sunny days count.

FINAL FEW DAYS - Thank you to everyone who has chosen Victoria's Promise for their blue coin.
