Magdale Land Volunteers benefitted from the better weather and this morning pulled up Himalayan Balsam, undertook some path clearance and strimmed around the fruit trees in the orchard.
The meadows are looking lovely at present with meadow buttercup, cranesbill and yellow rattle prominent.
Thanks to all of the volunteers.

🌟 The June Honley Flyer has landed! 🌟

There's lots happening in and around the village over the next few weeks, and you'll find it all packed in the Honley Flyer.

A massive thank to all our wonderful volunteers who deliver the Flyer to more than 3,300 homes every quarter, whatever the weather.

We're also incredibly grateful to all our advertisers for their continued support, and a special thank you to for sponsoring this quarters issue.

Take a few minutes to have a read and see what's coming up in our fantastic village. We hope you enjoy it! ❤️

As Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who gives their time to support the Trust.

Whether you’re helping at Magdale by clearing, tidying, laying paths, varnishing benches or tackling whatever jobs need doing; delivering the Honley Flyer to 3,300 homes and businesses across the village; serving at our pop-up café at the market; supporting our children’s parties; helping at the Welcome Club; or organising fantastic events such as the Art Exhibition and Music Nights to raise vital funds – every contribution makes a difference.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a dedicated team of volunteers. Every minute of the time you dedicate is valued and appreciated.

Simply put, we couldn’t do what we do without you.

Thank you for your time, your enthusiasm, and your continued support of our community. ❤️

Amazing just amazing we have raised just short of £16k and have now instructed a technical design team to work on the drawing and technical spec. We must thank the estate of Gerald Cowham for the amazing legacy of £6435 and Kirklees council for their growing great places pledge of £3995, as well as each and everyone of you who have donated.
Spacehive closes at the end of the month as we have exceeded our target for this part of the project . However, you can still donate. You can find Green collection tins in cafes, restaurants and shops around the village, scan the QR Code attached or pay at the Yorkshire building society OR pop along and see us at the Honley Show (27th June).

Amazingly we have raised the money and more for the design to mend the dam , due to lots of amazing donations into Space hive we were eligible for a £3995 donation from Kirklees council which took us just over the amount needed for the design stage . We were also bequeathed an amazing legacy of £6495 from the estate of Gerald Cowham for which we are very grateful. This means to date we have raised a staggering £15300. Please don’t stop giving as we move into the next phase .

Thank you everyone
