‼️ Just a reminder that the last meeting before the summer break will be tomorrow, Wednesday, June 3rd, 7.30 pm at Christchurch, Bedford Road, when the talk will be on:

The World War 1 Hospital at Wrest Park by Richard Luscombe
who is the Volunteer Historic Records Keeper at Wrest Park.
Wrest Park was one of the first country house hospitals of the First World War, established by Lord Lucas and his sister. From 1914, until its closure in 1916, it set an example for the treatment and welfare of its soldiers. It's a period full of fascinating, humorous and heart-warming stories, with a recent reminiscence proving that truth can sometimes be stranger than fiction.
