♻️ Let’s get the UK Government to take repair seriously! 🛠️

At Repair Café @ Hitchin Hackspace, we see the difference repair makes. Every item we fix is one less thing thrown away, helping conserve resources, reduce waste and keep useful things in circulation.
But repair needs more support. That’s why Plastic Free Hitchin has signed the petition calling on the UK Government to support the UK’s repair industry — and we’re encouraging you to sign it too!
The petition calls for:
🔧 Repair to be a core part of the UK’s Net Zero and circular economy strategies
🧵 More investment in repair skills, training and apprenticeships
🔌 Stronger Right to Repair, so products are easier to fix
🤝 Greater support for independent repair businesses and community repair initiatives
Repair is good for the planet, local communities and the economy. Let’s make it easier for everyone to repair rather than replace.

Please sign, share and help spread the word. Every signature counts!
