☀️ Throwing it back to summer with this one!

🛶 3rd Hitchin Scouts took to the water in Canadian canoes at Greenfield Summer Camp and what an adventure it looks like it was!

Paddling, teamwork and no doubt a few wobbles along the way! 😄🌊

This is Scouting. Every day a different adventure, every adventure a new skill. 🌟

🏆 17th Hitchin Scouts had the most extraordinary week at the Wings Jamboree, held in the King’s back garden in Windsor. Yes, you read that right. The King’s back garden! 👑

And if that was not special enough, they got to meet Dwayne Fields, Chief Scout, in person. Some of our Scouts even had their neckers signed! 🤩

🏕️ Throwing it back to an incredible moment this summer! 3rd Hitchin Scouts set off for Greenfield Summer Camp in Matlock, Derbyshire. Set up, first flag raised and the adventure officially began! 🚩

While most of us were winding down for the summer, our incredible volunteer leaders were packing their kit, loading the minibus and heading to the Peak District to give our Scouts the adventure of a lifetime.

Because that is what our volunteers do. The term may end but their commitment never does. Camps, expeditions and adventures continue right through the summer, all made possible by the most dedicated and passionate group of people we know. 💙

We are so incredibly grateful for every single one of them. 🙏

🥾 An early 6am start was no obstacle for 12th Hitchin's older Scouts as they set off on their Chief Scout Gold Expedition, beating the heat and hitting the trails with everything they needed on their backs! ☀️

The Chief Scout Gold Award is one of Scouting's highest achievements and earning it takes real dedication, resilience and teamwork. We could not be more proud of every single one of them for taking it on. 🏅
