Hessle Scout Group Hessle Scout Group is 150 uniformed members strong with Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers

Hessle Scout Group was formed in 1912 and over the years has had many different Scout Troops, Cub Packs and a Venture Unit on different sites around Hessle. Today Hessle Scout Group is about 150 uniformed members strong with a Beaver Colony, 2 Cub Packs, 2 Scout Troops and an Explorer Unit, with around 30 experienced and enthusiastic leaders. We enjoy an affiliation with the local church as well a

s support from local town folk and business. The Hessle Scout Group Headquarters is at the rear of the All Saints Church Hall. The building was originally the coach house of the former house on the site of the church hall but has been converted over the years and extended to form the modern headquarters you see today.

🌟 It’s National Volunteers’ Week! 🌟
A huge thank‑you to everyone who gives their time to Hessle Scout Group — you’re the reason our young people get to learn skills, grow in confidence and have amazing adventures.

We’re always looking for more friendly faces to join us. Whether you want to work directly with young people or help behind the scenes with admin, fundraising, maintenance or planning, there’s a role to suit every schedule and every skill set.

Volunteering is fun, flexible and genuinely makes a difference in our community. If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now’s the perfect time.

Next month we’ll be setting off on our annual sponsored walk — one of the highlights of our Scouting year — and we’d love to see as many of our members and parents / guardians involved as possible. If you’re part of the Scout Group, please make sure you sign up on OSM and join us. You can take part from any of our starting points along the route, so it’s easy to get involved no matter your ability.

If you’re not able to join us on the day, you can still make a huge difference. Supporting others through sponsorship helps us continue providing great opportunities and adventures for all our young people. Every donation, big or small, genuinely matters.

You can sponsor the walkers via our JustGiving page:

Let’s make this year’s walk our best yet — thank you for your support and enthusiasm.

Cherokee Cubs had a fun day at Blacktoft Beacon Scouts Camp Craft competition. Competing against other Cub packs from the district they worked together taking part in challenges including
Quick Sand Rescue, Tent Pitching,
Catapult Pioneering, Camp Cook, Fire Lighting, First Aid,
Countryside Code & Orienteering. Although not in the top places we had a great day & finished at McDonald's for a well earned treat.
