National Volunteers’ Week

This week we celebrated our amazing volunteers, and what a lovely time we had together.

Our volunteers give their time, kindness, compassion and energy to support others, and we honestly could not do what we do without them. Some of our volunteers have given an incredible 150 hours in just the last 5 months — which is truly amazing.

To every volunteer who supports Humber Wellbeing Services, The Hub and Blossom: thank you. You make such a difference, often more than you will ever know.
If you would like to volunteer with us, we would love to hear from you. We need you!

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for our sessions. No need to book on you can just turn up.

What an excellent day at Ferriby Festival today!

A huge thank you to the organisers for choosing Humber Wellbeing Hub to have a stand at such a lovely community event. It has been a very busy day, with so many children, young people and families visiting our stall.

And who knew children loved a tombola quite so much!

A special thank you to Laura Toyne for inviting us — we really appreciated being part of it.

Two very tired staff after a very wholesome day 💜 thank you Janine💜

💙 Not all heroes wear capes, some wear hi-vis on the Humber Bridge 💙

Had a proper humbling moment today on the Humber Bridge.

One of the bridge staff came over to check on me because she thought I might have been someone struggling. Thankfully, I was absolutely fine but it really made me stop and think.

It’s easy to forget that there are people out there quietly watching, noticing, and stepping in when they think someone might need help. She didn’t just assume I was okay; she took the time to come over and make sure.

Today it turned out to be nothing, but for someone else, that simple check-in could make all the difference.

So I just wanted to say thank you to her, and to all the people working around the Humber Bridge who help keep others safe every day. It’s a reminder that even a small act of care can mean a lot.

There are still good people out there, and today was a lovely reminder of that. 💙⚡️
