We’re relaunching our Harpenden Compassionate Café in September!

Starting from 8 September 2026, the café will now take place on the second Tuesday of each month, from 10.30am-12pm.

It will also be moving to a larger room nearby, the Charles Hill Lounge in Harpenden Trust Halls.

Compassionate Cafés are drop-in sessions which provide a space for members of the local community who have been affected by bereavement and would like to come along for a friendly chat and a chance to meet others over a cup of tea.

Have you ever felt unsure about how to make a complaint or raise a concern?
Our Effective Complaints Workshop is designed to help unpaid carers build confidence in navigating the complaints process, particularly if the issue or concern is related to a health, mental health or social care service. In this practical, small-group session, you'll learn who to communicate with and how to share your concerns effectively.
The workshop is on Wednesday 19th August 2026, 10am to 12pm noon, in Hertford.
Spaces are available now. Contact us to book or sign up via the listing on the events section of our website.

Thinking about getting back on a bike? You do not have to be a “cyclist” to start moving more. Even just a sort gentle ride can be positive for your brain and body.
Physical activity at any age can support your brain health. Cycling can be low impact, flexible and easy to include into everyday life.

If you have not cycled for a while, start small, check your bike. Plan a quiet route, ride with a friend or try just 10 minutes.
Every pedal counts!
