Meeting this morning at the playground to discuss the latest developments. The 1st stage we are looking to install a fresh piece of play equipment we are sure the children will love. Details to follow..

Thanks to all those who took the time to stop and have a chat with me at the Hertingfordbury village fete this past weekend. The children loved choosing their favourite pieces of play equipment from the catalogues and I've noted plenty of feedback from the community on the park and what improvements they would like to see happen. We even managed to raise another £50 in donations. 🫶

The new catalogue has arrived, packed with ideas and inspiration for what we can create together at Birch Green!

Our community working group met this morning at the playpark to start planning much-needed improvements — and we’re excited to share the first steps with you!

This is just the beginning, but here are some of the ideas we're exploring: 🔒 New gates – to make the park safer and more secure
🌱 Improved surfaces – for better safety and accessibility
👶 More baby swings – they’re a big hit, and we could use a few more!
🎠 Inclusive carousel roundabout – to replace the current spinners with something fun for all children
💪 Adult outdoor gym equipment – possibly added near the ball sports field to encourage fitness for all ages!

Work has begun to make some necessary improvements to the playpark today. Thanks to the workers from Kompan for making the equipment safe for children to play. 💛
