🎃 Can you beat a spooky morning at the SPACE allotment on Halloween? 👻

From yellow courgettes to pumpkin carving, spooky crafts and bubbling science experiments, there was plenty of Halloween magic in the air!

There were even hidden bones to hunt for amongst the allotment beds! 💀

And of course, the whole morning was hosted by our very own SPACE witches! 🧙‍♀️

A wonderfully spooky morning full of fun, creativity and a little bit of mischief! 🧡

🎃👻 What a spooktacular time at our annual SPACE Halloween Party! 🕷️🦇

There were sensory delights galore, from eyeballs in jelly and wiggly jelly worms hiding in autumn leaves to cauldrons full of rice!

Our little ghosts and ghouls got creative with spooky cake decorating and Halloween crafts, making bats, mummies, vampires and pumpkins. 🧛‍♂️🦇

Add in plenty of games, laughter and party bags all round, and we had all the ingredients for a fang-tastic time!

So much spooky fun, and wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves! Thank you to everyone who came and joined in so brilliantly. 🧡🎃

⚽⛳🤸 Our half term SPACE fun continued at Rye-assics yesterday!

From football and golf to trampolines and plenty of fun in the soft play, there was something for everyone to enjoy!

And that’s what makes sessions like these so special. For many of our families, visiting a usually busy soft play centre during half term simply wouldn’t be possible.

Having the space to play, explore and have fun in a welcoming, supportive environment makes all the difference.

🛹 NEW AT SPACE! Introducing FIRST PUSH!

We're thrilled to be teaming up with The Pioneer Club - Skatepark in St Albans to launch First Push – Skateboarding for Beginners, a brand new pilot activity for our children and young people!

Whether they've never stepped on a skateboard before or have had a go but would like to build their confidence, this is a chance to give it a try in a quieter, supportive environment.

🛹 An hour in the indoor skatepark with experienced coaches, learning the basics and progressing at their own pace.

🛹 Skateboards, helmets and pads provided – or bring your own!

🛹 Afterwards, there's the option to stay for another hour to relax, play games or just hang out. No pressure to join in or socialise.

👧 Ages 7+ – for children and young people with SEND and their siblings.

No experience needed, just come along and give it a go!

🐴🌈 Sunshine, rainbows, horses and s’mores!

What a smashing time we had with our wonderful friends at Therapeutic Hooves yesterday!

The sun shone, a beautiful rainbow appeared, and there was plenty of fun with the horses and some pond dipping too! And what better way to round off each session than toasting marshmallows, making gooey s’mores and warming up with a hot chocolate? ☕🍫

Lots of smiles, new friendships and happy memories made, with everyone enjoying the experience in their own way and at their own pace.

We loved reading the feedback afterwards, especially how many families mentioned the kindness of the team, the relaxed atmosphere and how much their children enjoyed themselves.

A huge thank you to everyone at Therapeutic Hooves and our brilliant team for making it such a lovely day. 💙

What better way to kick off a wet and windy half term than hunkering down for some Minecraft, Roblox and Scratch the Cat coding!

It was lovely to welcome new and familiar faces to our gaming and coding sessions at the weekend, with plenty of gaming, creativity, laughs and a new way to code added to the mix!

A brilliant way to start half term, doing what you love alongside people who share your interests 💜

🎨 A colourful start to October half-term!

It might be wet and cold outside, but we kept things cosy and creative indoors today with some pottery painting!

From pumpkins and spooky characters to foxes, owls and bumblebees, our young artists have been busy creating some amazing masterpieces. 🦊🐝🎃

And the lovely feedback at the end of the session made us smile just as much as their creations. ❤️

💙 A lovely first Saturday at our Lending SPACE pop-up in Hoddesdon!

The surroundings may have been a little different, but with familiar faces, favourite toys and plenty of opportunities to play, it soon felt like Lending SPACE!

It was especially lovely to see so many families reconnecting and enjoying time together. Over the years, we’ve watched friendships and connections grow, and it’s wonderful to see those continuing in our new spaces.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Saturday pop-up such a success.

We’re already looking forward to the next one! 💜

Inclusion is important. But how do we create a real sense of belonging?

This was just one of the brilliant discussions during a day of training with over 140 support staff at Oaklands College.

Kim and Sarah from our SPACE team spent the day exploring neurodivergence with an incredibly thoughtful and engaged group of professionals.

We started by understanding and celebrating neurodivergence, looking at autism, ADHD, dyslexia and co-occurring conditions.

Throughout the afternoon, we explored some of the mental health challenges neurodivergent young people may experience, how we can create psychologically safe environments, and how stress and overwhelm can affect a young person's nervous system. We also took a closer look at ODD and PDA.

What really stood out was the openness, reflection and willingness to share experiences and learn from one another.

The feedback was wonderful, but what made the day so rewarding was the genuine commitment of everyone in the room to better understanding and supporting the young people they work with.

A huge thank you to everyone at for such a warm welcome. We can't wait to see you all again soon!
