This Volunteers’ Week we’d like to say thank you to all our fabulous volunteers. We just wouldn’t be the same without you. Thanks especially to all our young volunteers who have chosen to give something back to other children and young people who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Thank you to our Young Ambassadors Flo & Quin, Youth Ambassadors Lucas, Aeowyn & Raven, and Ambassadors Josh, Roo, Rubi & Danny. We are so proud of you all and grateful for everything you do for Phoenix ❤️

Congratulations to Lucy and Dan on their invitation to attend a Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in recognition of their outstanding service to the community. We are so proud and excited. Dan’s year as the 644th Mayor of Hereford has now come to an end, so we would like to thank both Mayor & Mayoress for their incredible support for bereaved children and young people in Herefordshire during the year. We have been honoured and extremely grateful for all that they have done ❤️🤩

We would like to wish our Head of Service, Lorraine, a very happy 60th birthday. For 15 years she has been giving her all for the children and young people that Phoenix has supported. From supporting children directly to grant writing, fundraising and events she is always there, leading from the front. Thank you, Lorraine, for everything you do. Enjoy your special birthday ❤️

We support children, young people and families to talk about how the death of someone close to them has affected them. It’s not always easy to talk to your family about how you feel, especially because they are grieving too. But gradually, and with our help, children and young people find a way to express their grief and find ways forward.

We were absolutely delighted to be invited to attend the Service of Thanksgiving for the Mayoralty of the Right Worshipful the 644th Mayor of Hereford, Councillor Daniel Powell. Phoenix Bereavement was represented by Lorraine Smith, Head of Service, who also made the wonderful feather bookmarks.
We are immensely grateful to have been the Mayor’s charity of the year, it has been an honour and a privilege.
We would also like to offer a special thank you to The Starlight Company for all their support throughout the year ❤️
