And that’s a wrap…
A packed hall. Thought-provoking conversations. A community that showed up.
It’s evenings like this that remind us what can happen when a community comes together with curiosity, generosity and a willingness to engage.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the People’s Emergency Briefing. We hoped the evening would spark conversation-and it certainly did.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible-our partners at Almeley Quaker Meeting, St Mary’s Church, Almeley, Herefordshire Food Alliance, our volunteers, and everyone working behind the scenes. Community events like this only happen because people are willing to give their time, skills and enthusiasm.
And then there was the food… what a spread! From locally sourced ingredients and home-grown produce to the generosity, creativity and teamwork that brought it all together, it perfectly reflected what the evening was all about-people coming together, sharing what they could and supporting one another. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, prepared and served the refreshments.
It was fantastic to see residents, community groups and local organisations all in one room-listening, asking questions, sharing different perspectives and continuing conversations long after the presentation had finished. That’s exactly what evenings like this are designed to encourage. Sharing knowledge, asking questions and exploring how communities can become better prepared for the future.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in making the evening such a success. Whether you organised, volunteered, baked, donated, spoke or simply came along to listen-you helped make the evening what it was.
