Hawkhurst Bonfire, Formed up in May 2012. Lit up the sky with our first event Nov 2012. We are back after a few years of covid and bad weather!

Fingers crossed this year will be a good one. Hawkhurst Gang Bonfire Society was was formed in May 2012 and we had our first Torch lit Procession, Bonfire and fireworks display in November 2012. In 2016 we are celebrating out 5th Anniversary. We have over 20 visiting bonfire societies for our event and drumming groups from across Kent and Sussex. Our bonfire and fireworks are in the traditional style of the Lewes and Sussex bonfire Societies.

Despite our best efforts to advertise the bonfire, have a bit of fun but also slow the traffic towards the primary school someone really doesn’t share our fun! The first night in his new home our speed watch advertiser was deliberately broken and knocked over, we picked him up and this morning he has been thrown in the hedge!, honestly if you have a problem with him please contact us and we will remove it please don’t ruin someone’s hard work.
We are a team of volunteers who at the moment are working extremely hard to get this event ready for so many to enjoy.

We will be moving the guy again and hope that this time people will leave him alone, poor bloke is just stood there minding his own business!

Still time to get your early tickets, we don’t have many left so grab them before they all go!
We are excited to bring back a small procession, the beacon will be lit and the bonfire and fireworks are going to be amazing( although not as big as last years towering inferno!)

There’s still time to build a guy, or dedicate a firework to a loved one.
