For Fawkes Sake...
Alright, alright… the reviews have been a bit scarce this year. It’s almost like we’ve got lives outside of dressing up and playing pretend Guy Fawkes.....
But fear not! Here’s a little round-up of our Senlac tour so far… 🔥

NORTHIAM.....you never disappoint 🔥
The gentle introduction we need to wheel out the dusty old monks, check the robes still fit and shake off last year’s mud. Some of it is structural at this point.
Bonfire er****on ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - stood proud. Lovely girth.
Fireworks ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - no Catherine wheel, sad times.
Friendly and welcoming ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Procession placement ⭐⭐⭐ - a little too close to Battel, but thankfully not on the naughty step this year
Weather ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

HASTINGS.....our coastal cousins 🌊
Well, that was a rather marvellous evening. Sea air, fire and questionable behaviour in historical clothing. What’s not to love?
Atmosphere ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fireworks ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - you had a Catherine wheel you got the memo.
Procession placement ⭐⭐ - behind Sambalanco, who swayed so much we nearly needed travel sickness tablets. We came for bonfire, not a bloody cruise.
Bonfire er****on ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - a very respectable coastal st**fy.
Effigy noise ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - did a little wee. No further questions.
We loved the hospitality, the crowds and the whole event. A sterling effort…and the banner made it home, which is more than we can say for everyone’s dignity.
