Over the county border, 🔥 Sussex Bonfire Season 🔥 is well underway. It runs from the first week of September to the third week of November. The biggest and best known event being Lewes on 5th November (unless 5th November falls on a Sunday).

To learn all about Lewes and 'Bonfire Night' do come along on Tuesday 27th October. Everyone is welcome!

Hawkhurst Local History Society meets on Tuesday 29th September in Unity Hall to the rear of the Hawkhurst Club (the former RBL) on Hawkhurst High Street. Visitors, guests and new members are welcome.

Please note the change of venue: Our June meeting will be at St Laurence Church. Joanna Davis will give us a talk on 'Old Hawkhurst'. Doors open at 7 and the talk starts at 7.30pm. All are welcome.
