๐ Celebrating Janice Kershaw โ A WellโEarned New Chapter ๐
After many years of dedicated service, we are saying a heartfelt thank you to Janice Kershaw as she leaves The Mayfield Trust today Thursday 18th June 2026 to begin a wellโearned new chapter.
Janice has been a truly special part of the Trust, and her contribution has touched every corner of the organisation. Through her energy, creativity and exceptional training skills, she has inspired staff teams, supported the people we work alongside, and helped shape the culture we are so proud of today.
She had a real gift for training, bringing learning to life with warmth, humour and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. This has empowered countless colleagues to grow in confidence and capability, leaving a lasting impact across our services.
Her work with the Friendly Circle and across our services has left a lasting legacy, not only in the knowledge she shared, but in the warmth, humour and encouragement she brought to everyone she met. Janice has a unique way of making people feel valued, confident and supported, and that impact will be felt for many years to come.
Janice will also be remembered for the many moments of laughter she brought along the way. One story that always stands out is a coach trip where; after missing the departure from Halifax bus station, she calmly took it all in her stride leading to a rather memorable dash up the motorway to catch up with it! It perfectly sums up her resilience, humour, and unwavering commitment to the people she supported.
Over the years, we have shared memories of Joy, sadness and challenge whilst supporting people through their lives. Janice has embraced new ideas, challenges and opportunities with enthusiasm, while always staying true to what matters most, genuine care for the people we support. She has been a constant source of positivity and inspiration to colleagues across the Trust.
While we will miss her enormously, this is very much a moment to celebrate. We are excited for Janice as she steps into this next chapter, one filled with wellโdeserved time, rest, and new opportunities ahead.
Janice leaves with our deepest thanks, admiration and appreciation. She will always be a cherished part of The Mayfield Trustโs story.
