*A BEAUTIFUL & SUCCESSFUL MAWLID JULOOS 2026*

Alhamdulillah, an incredible turnout for this year’s Mawlid-un-Nabi ﷺ Juloos in Halifax. It was wonderful to see so many people from across our community come together in love, unity and celebration of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The Juloos and Mawlid Fest that followed were organised by the organisations affiliated with Jamia Madni Masjid Halifax, Rhodes Street Masjid and JMN, alongside the brothers from Green Dome Security.

For the last 10 years, the dedicated volunteers from these three Masjid organisations have personally covered the costs associated with organising the Juloos, meaning no expenses have been incurred by the Masajid themselves in the last decade.

InShaAllah, with the same spirit of service and dedication, they intend to continue doing so moving forward.

This year saw a huge turnout, and we would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended, supported, volunteered and helped make the day such a success.

A special thank you also goes to the many local businesses who generously donated food and refreshments for those attending. Your generosity and support for the local community is greatly appreciated.

Allah Almighty accept everyone’s efforts, reward all those who contributed, and allow us to continue commemorating the blessed Mawlid of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ for many years to come.

🌟 Green Dome Academy Awards Evening 2026 🌟

Alhamdulillah, yesterday we celebrated the achievements of our students who successfully completed the Green Dome Academy 2-Year Foundation Islamic Studies Programme and Diploma Programme.

The evening was attended by our Chief Guest, Ustadh al-Ulama M***i Fazil Bandyalvi, together with our teaching faculty who delivered inspiring reminders on the virtue of seeking sacred knowledge and the importance of nurturing the next generation upon the Deen.

Green Dome Academy was founded by M***i Abdus Samee, who continues to serve as the Founder and Head. Through his vision and leadership, the academy has grown into a thriving centre of Islamic learning, with over 50 students currently studying the Dars-e-Nizami Scholarship Programme and over 150 studying the foundation programme at Central Jamia Masjid Madni, Halifax, alongside our Foundation and Diploma programmes.

Today, we were delighted to welcome back Ustadh Hassan Riaz following his blessed Hajj journey. To mark the occasion, the students and teachers at Green Dome Academy presented him with gifts and gathered for a special assembly in his honour.

Ustadh Hassan is a valued member of Madni Masjid Halifax. The founder of the Halifax Community Fridge and a local pharmacist who has dedicated countless hours to serving both the Muslim community and the wider public. Through his service, humility and commitment to helping others, he continues to be an excellent role model and teacher for our young students and an inspiration to the next generation.

He shared heartfelt reflections from his time in the blessed lands, speaking about the spiritual lessons he gained and the importance of serving one’s parents. He spoke movingly about caring for and assisting his parents throughout the journey, reminding our students that khidmah of parents is among the greatest acts of worship and a means of attaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty.

We were also heard from Ustadh Umer Asif, who delivered an inspiring talk on the virtues and significance of Hajj. He encouraged our students to develop a love for this sacred pillar of Islam and reminded them of the importance of striving for closeness to Allah Almighty through worship, service and good character.

The assembly was a wonderful opportunity for our students to learn firsthand about the blessings of Hajj, the importance of gratitude, and the value of serving our parents and communities with sincerity and devotion.

May Allah Almighty accept Ustadh Hassan’s Hajj, continue to bless him in his service to the community, and grant all of us the ability to follow the example of those who dedicate their lives to serving others for the sake of Allah.

🌟📚 Outstanding Results at Green Dome Academy! 🎉✨

Alhamdulillah, we are absolutely delighted to celebrate the incredible achievements of our students in their Semester 2 examinations!

From early weekend mornings to consistent effort in class and at home, they have worked tirelessly to excel and we could not be prouder.

Over the semester, students engaged in a rich and beneficial curriculum covering subjects such as Fiqh, Seerah, Hadith, Arabic, Tajweed, Tafsir, Tarbiyah, and much more, helping them grow not only academically, but spiritually and personally too.

A huge congratulations to every student for their effort and commitment, and a special mention to the top-performing student in each class, who has been recognised for their exceptional achievement and excellence. 👏🏆
