Halifaxcentral We’re a neighbourhood initiative covering the wards of Park, Skircoat, Sowerby Bridge & Town. Ran by Calderdale Council’s Neighbourhoods team. Who are we?

Halifax Central Initiative is part of Calderdale Council. We are a small team working to improve the Halifax Central area. The team includes Neighbourhood Officers and Community Wardens who work on the frontline to help and advise you on local services, signpost you to the right people and help you to access the help and information you require. What do we do ? Neighbourhood Officers help resident

s use local services and find the right help, they also work on community projects with residents to improve their local neighbourhood. The Community Wardens patrol the Central area and they can help you with: queries about waste and recycling issues; problems with fly tipping or business waste; dof fouling, road safety, environmental improvements and projects. They also run a successful Junior warden Scheme in various primaryschools across Calderdale

Cabinet’s draft budget: A sensible budget

Keeping people safe, investing in Calderdale’s towns and places and moving to a more sustainable financial position are the priorities in the Cabinet’s budget proposals for 2026/7. The proposals were presented by the Leader of the Council at a Cabinet meeting on Monday 8 December 2025, marking the start of a seven-week public consultation. We’re hiring: Integration Co-ordinator

We are looking for an Integration Co-ordinator. Fixed term contract until March 2027 (with an intention to continue if funding is secured). 22.5 hours (3 days) a week to start as soon as possible. £13.50 per hour which equates to a salary of £15,838 and is equivalent to a full-time annual salary of £26,397. 3-month probationary period. This is a frontline role, providing direct advice and support to male Centre Members specifically living in temporary asylum accommodation in Calderdale....
