Halesworth Volunteers Recruiting volunteers to supoort the local community. Our projects include the Community Car Service, Isolation Busters and the Communuty Larder.

Last week some of our lovely ladies enjoyed a trip out to Cherry Lane. A lot of fun was had by all and lots of purchases made as always. Tomorrow night, is a busy night! Not only do England play their first game in the World Cup, it's also our fundraising quiz. We kick off at 8pm in The Stables at the The Angel, Halesworth, ideally with teams of 4, £2 per person with nibbles at half time, and a small prize for the winning team. Our quiz master Chris, will be making sure we don't finish too late so we can go and watch the game in the Angel afterwards ⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
Next month, Wednesday 15th July will be an eighties themed quiz, in line with our 40th Anniversary celebrations. Chris and Ricky will be testing our 80's knowledge and 80's fancy dress is optional if you want to dig out your lace gloves, neon leg warmers, double denim and shell suits! We are very excited about this one!! 🥳🤩😍 No need to book, come along and join us at 8pm.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Rifle Hall on Thursday evening to celebrate a very special milestone, 40 years of Halesworth Volunteers.

For over 40 years HV has been helping and supporting vulnerable and isolated people in Halesworth and the surrounding villages. The dedication and commitment of all our wonderful volunteers, is incredible, enabling HV to support people to live happy fulfilled and independent lives, while remaining in their own homes. Our volunteers are the driving force behind everything we do and are truly inspirational. Constantly giving up their time for others and always with a smile. Our 40th anniversary and National Volunteers week seemed the perfect opportunity to say, "Thank you!" Everything you do makes a positive difference to the lives of so many.

Thank you to Emma Ward and her team for efficiently serving delicious canapes all evening and to Farmhouse Bakery for our fantastic cake, which tasted as good as it looked!

Apologies for the silence it's been an incredibly busy and fantastic few days for HV!

A big big thank you to Shaun and friends who completed 80k, walking and some running on Wednesday for Pacing to Paget 2Gether. So far we have raised £1,300 and still going.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and to all the local businesses who have supported us.

While Shaun was walking around Halesworth and some of the villages, escorted by Reuben on his bike, our team of Ricky, Kay, Doreen, Lucy, Charlotte, Kevin, Amanda and Helen were in the gym at Performfitness Halesworth on the treadmills.

After replenishing ourselves with lunch at Chinny's, we carried on, here are a few more photos from the second half of the day. We visited Kevin & Darby at Allens Butchers Halesworth, Faith & Simba at Rosedales, the team at First Choice, Mark & Cheryl at Mark Carter Accountancy, The Angel, Halesworth, Focus Organic and Durrants, Freshpac and Kings Landscaping.

We still have more businesses to visit so keep an eye out for more posts.

Our team of volunteers have been clocking up the k’s on the treadmills in Performfitness Halesworth. Thanks to Kye for having us.

We will be kicking off Pacing to Paget 2gether at 8am on Wednesday from Performfitness Halesworth. It would be lovely if you wanted to join us, to wish Shaun well as he sets off on his 40K and everyone who is waking on the treadmill for us. A big thank you to everyone who is supporting us.
