I just wanted to say thank you all so, so much for all your heartfelt comments and wonderful memories you’ve all been sharing.

I’m so sorry I can’t reply to all the comments (because there are just so many! ☺️), but they have all been read and I’m sure are a great comfort to Andrew’s family.

It is with great sadness that I must bring you the news that we lost a wonderful club member last week - Andrew Bullard.

Club volunteers, club members, his support staff, friends and family are all deeply saddened by this news and will all miss him greatly.

Andrew Bullard had been a member of our Thursday Club family since 1985.

Andrew was always a happy soul, but I think it’s fair to say he was at his happiest when our friends from Great Yarmouth Brass came to visit.

Andrew would take centre stage and conduct the band with confidence and pride which was always a heartwarming moment to witness for us all.

We had so many wonderful times with Andrew over the years which we will all reflect on during this sad time, but with a smile on our faces thinking about these fabulous memories I’m sure.

I was trying to put into words something to ease the sadness and to help reassure and comfort everyone at this time when I remembered something Queen Elizabeth II said 25 years ago which I think is perfect….

"But nothing that can be said can begin to take away the anguish and the pain of these moments. Grief is the price we pay for love."

RIP Andrew. You will be missed.

Andrew’s funeral will be held Tuesday 18th August at 12 noon, Gorleston Crematorium.

Andrew really liked black jackets, so if people could wear this is or similar it would be lovely, but don’t worry if you can’t.

This video makes me so happy.

Everyone has worries, things they might be sad about or perhaps even a little stress in their lives.

But, all that goes away when we’re together at Thursday Club for our members (and even our lovely volunteers).

We get together to forget our cares, to have fun and enjoy ourselves which is plain to see in this video!! 🤩

Thank you again to the fab Karla Beare for a wonderful night at our Summer Ball.

We can’t wait to see you all again in September.
