What an unforgettable evening at our Annual Charter Night, with over 80 people coming together to share such a special occasion.

We were deeply honoured to welcome Sir Terry Waite, whose profoundly moving and heartfelt account of his own experiences left a lasting impression on everyone in the room. His story of resilience in the face of unimaginable hardship, and the emotional toll it carried, was both humbling and inspiring. Equally powerful was hearing about the incredible work of Hostage International, a charity that continues to provide vital support to those affected by kidnap and arbitrary detention, offering hope where it is needed most.

It was also a real pleasure to come together with Harleston Club and its members for this joint event, strengthening friendships and community spirit.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the evening such a success. Special thanks to Jason and the team for the fantastic catering, and to all the staff at Bungay Community Centre for their support and hospitality throughout.

What a fantastic evening we had last night!

We were treated to a wonderful talk from our very own Rotarian, Chris, who shared fascinating insights from his many visits to Bermuda. From its rich history to fun and surprising facts, Chris really brought the island to life. He also highlighted the great work being done by Rotary both in Bermuda and internationally, even sharing an image of Rotary’s Four-Way Test.

The evening was enjoyed by 40 members and guests over a delicious two-course meal. 🍽️

A huge thank you to Chris for such an engaging talk, to Jason, the catering team, and all the staff at Bungay Community Centre for helping make the evening such a success.

Women Who Inspire is a Blyth Valley Rotary event, organised to celebrate the vision of International Women’s Day and was founded by Dr Cathy Ryan MBE about 14 years ago. Celebrating women’s achievements throughout history and across nations. Many women have achieved great things, but many still struggle and face significant challenges. Women can be a driving force in supporting women who continue to fight for their independence and rights. Blyth Valley Rotary Women Who Inspire suppers bring together women and men who share stories of how they have used their passion and determination to inspire change, motivate, and encourage others to succeed; to go forward to fight for their rights, justice, independence, or self-worth as an equal. A Wonderful Evening of Insight and Support

We had a fantastic evening yesterday with around 50 attendees joining us for a truly inspiring event. Our guest speaker, Keith Miller, shared powerful insights about his ongoing work in Ukraine and his plans for future efforts to provide continued support.
