We are getting ready to bring more vibrant colour to the town with this year's hanging baskets! 150 baskets will be hung in the next fortnight, thanks to all the businesses around town.
Our wonderful volunteer Rab is taking a well-earned rest from watering baskets this year. So the rest of our volunteers are stepping up to keep the baskets fed and watered.
We're always looking for new volunteers, but especially now, so we can prepare for the Britain in Bloom visit in August.
So if you've ever thought of joining our friendly group, even for just one or two sessions over the summer, now couldn't be a better time. Do get in touch.

These gorgeous iris are at their best at the moment. They were bred near our twin town of Aubigny-sur-Nere in France and are appropriately named 'Auld Alliance' and they were brought to the town with the help of the twinning group.
You'll find them in Lady Kitty's garden near the Nungate Bridge and at the traffic lights on Hardgate. Be quick though, they don't last long.

Tomorrow we are hosting the 2nd of our guided garden tours as part of
Meet at the John Gray Centre at 1.45pm. The route is accessible and the tour lasts around 1 hour 👍
