In our craft area this week we finished off some butterfly diamond art, made some cards and painted some wooden wreaths. Our knitters continued with their blanket project.

This week Minister Kate found a new rest for her glasses!!

We coloured bookmarks, supervised by support dog Rufus. 🐶 We started knitting baby clothes to donate to charity ans, of course played Rummikub.

Refresh Cafe brought us through some lovely scones and jam, but we forgot to take a picture before we ate them all!

This week we decorated some butterflies. Our knitters continued with the blanket they are making and others continued with their own craft projects.

We finished our latest jigsaw - much quicker than the last one.

And one guest dashed straight from the airport for a game of Rummikub!

This week we were very excited to open a box of books kindly given to us by the Go All In National Year of Reading campaign. Some of our guests got stuck into a book straight away! Others have taken some home to read. We’ve also got some ideas of how we use the books with the wider community. Watch this space! 👀

In our craft area we made beady birds, which we think will look nice hung in our windows. Our knitters continued with their project (They assured us they are much more organised than the picture suggests!)

We’ve chosen a 500 piece jigsaw to do this time and have made much quicker progress than we did with the last one!

After 3 months of dedication we finally finished our current jigsaw!!! It has proved to be far trickier than we anticipated, but we were determined not to give up! 🧩👏🥳

The lovely weather lifted all of our spirits today.

In our craft area this week we made some mosaic coasters. We were inspired by lovely bright colours. We’ll grout them during the week so we can finish them next Tuesday.

During our optional prayer activity one of our regular guests shared the ‘thought of the day’ from one of her Friendship Books. We thought the idea of light being the same but reflecting in different ways was a really powerful image.

Our knitters continued their project and we played lots of games of Rummikub. And…. The jigsaw is nearly finished!!!

This week one of our guests brought in cakes to celebrate her birthday. We thanked her with an enthusiastic rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’!

In our craft corner we sealed our mosaic Easter eggs and added some ribbon so we can hang them up. Some of us also chose to paint floral heart wreaths.

Our knitters had a lovely chat and we discussed some ideas for a new project.

Our jigsaw is still proving to be challenging, but we’ll get there eventually!
