Яна Боброва
I’m not sure how to properly start this post. But I want to dedicate it to him:
to a person whom I never knew personally, and whose name I only recognized after death.…
On 24 February 2025, I wrote in a volunteer chat of friends who support the Armed Forces warrior Andriy Hrutba that they had already raised £8,000 for an X-ray, which a month before was asked to be bought by the Chief Medical Officer of his unit, because I had confidence that we would be able to close this collection. Andrew replied to me that whoever should cheat will never know about it again because he died yesterday
As of February 24, 2025 - from when I received the news of Nicholas Trellis' death, my impulsive idea was to carry out his last will because he was the one who cared for the wounded on the frontline, risking his life, and dreamed of modern equipment to help him do it.
In the photos taken this week, I'm happy because we made it !
I am sincerely grateful to my friends in the UK Mike Danson and Perrott for walking together towards this goal. I'm thankful for the support of family and two of my teams: Guildford Chantries Rotary Club and Peli can live the Rotary Club of Guilford Chantries Rotary Club "Kyiv Capital"/Ротарі клуб "Київ Столиця" (who Mike and Trevor are members). Grateful to Соня Атлантова and Olaf Clemensen for creating the project "Icons on bullet boxes", which has become a powerful fundraising tool for the needs of Ukrainian doctors on the frontline for volunteers in many countries.
But my greatest gratitude is for the opportunity to do Nicholas's will - Guildford Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral - it was these two Cathedrals who adopted the exhibitions of icons on bullet boxes, told their parishioners about the goal of the project - to save the lives of our defenders, to save the life of civilians in conflict areas. They were the ones who united their communities and their parishioners bought icons!
With a hefty chunk of proceeds coming up in the Guilford Chantries Club account, Mike and Trevor and I delved into the world of X-Rays. Thank you to your chernivtsi friend-paramediku Ivan Karazhbeyu who directed our search in the right direction - in the direction of quality portable equipment. As a result, we went to offices in different countries, and now it is time to express gratitude to my friend Ольга Березовская who was in Japan at that moment and decided to write to the Japanese office of the company. So we received contacts of direct distributor Fuji in Ukraine:
Thank you and Fuji for providing a significant discount on equipment, which helped accelerate the transfer of X-ray equipment to doctors!
Thanks to my friends Rostyslav Lukach and Анатолій Павловський who supported me in organizing the equipment transfer! And Andrii Gorb who as it turned out, at this moment was nearby and was able to capture our moment of happiness.
I am grateful to the medics for your service, and I sincerely wish there were at least injured, and because of that fact, the equipment would not be used, but would just give you extra confidence and peace!
Military medics Victor, Stas and Arina have already returned to their service.
I am on my way. Will be at this evening for the official unveiling of one of the two icons purchased by the parishioners for the Cathedral, which will now have its place there. People will approach her and pray - each for their own. I will pray that we stand firm in this war, pray for the Victory of Ukraine, and I will also pray for Nicholas, for the peace of his soul, because his last will has been done.
PS: Combat Paramedic Arina. She's only 22. Serving since 19 years. Please watch over your child God
