🌿 Get involved and help care for your local wildlife habitat! 🌿

Snaky Lane Community Wildlife Group is looking for volunteers to join their Meadow Mowing Day on Sunday 6th September, 10:30am to 3:00pm.

No experience is needed, and all tools and training will be provided. Just bring suitable outdoor clothing, sturdy footwear, gloves, and your own refreshments.

A great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, meet new people, and support local conservation efforts. 🍃

Join us at The Hive on Friday 25 September, 10am–1pm for a community Coffee Morning filled with cake, conversation and kindness 💚

We’ll have a cake sale 🍰, a Plant in Memory activity 🌱, and a raffle 🎟 — all in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

The Gypsy Roma Traveller Women’s Health Group will also be joining us with helpful information and resources.

A lovely way to come together and make a difference.

✨ Back 2 School at Thrive at The Hive! ✨

Sam and Esme brought the community together for a hugely successful Back 2 School event — offering pre‑loved school uniforms, PE kits, shoes, lunch boxes, bottles and stationery to families preparing for September.

With support from Guildford High School, The Maslow Foundation’s £50 Tesco vouchers, and our pay‑as‑you‑feel donations (which go straight back into community wellbeing projects), we were able to help over 20 families get the essentials they needed.

We still have uniform and stationery bits available in our Thrive at The Hive shop, open Monday–Friday, 10am–2pm.

The Community Wellbeing Team stands with Ukrainian residents marking Ukraine’s Independence Day.

We see the strength and community spirit shown by Ukrainian families across Guildford, and we want our Ukrainian neighbours to know they are supported and valued.

🎒✨ Back to School Shopping ✨🎒

A huge thank you to The Maslow Foundation for donating £50 in Tesco vouchers, alongside £50 from Thrive at the Hive donations. 💛

Together, this £100 helped us purchase stationery, pencil cases, lunch boxes and water bottles for our upcoming Back to School event.

We’re now putting together our school packs, which will go alongside thrifted school uniforms and other essentials to help local families get ready for the new school year. 📚✏️

Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Thank you for helping us support our community! 🐝💛
