The trail is officially moving, and look who we just spotted! A massive thank you to the fantastic team at Tweetiepie Media for jumping on board and placing their yellow anchor vinyl in their window. 💙

By joining the trail, Tweetiepie Media isn’t just showing their support - they are turning their space into a visible beacon of safety and connection right here in our community.

❓ What is the Yellow Anchor Trail actually for?

We are turning Inverclyde's high streets into a visible safety net. When someone sees that yellow anchor in a window, it lets them know two things:

1️⃣It’s a safe space: The staff inside recognise the importance of mental health and know exactly how to guide someone toward support.
2️⃣It’s a source of hope: Anyone passing by can scan the QR code on the vinyl to instantly read or add to our community's Letters of Hope right on their phone screen.

💼 Are you a local business and want to get involved?

We want to turn all of Inverclyde’s streets into a visible safety net. If you want to place an anchor in your window and join the trail, drop us a DM or email us at [email protected] to join for free!

3 Simple Ways to Anchor a Mate ⚓️💪

Too many men in Inverclyde are still struggling in silence due to the stigma surrounding mental health. This Men's Health Week, let’s change the game plan. Here are 3 practical ways you can support your fathers, brothers, sons, and mates.

If a mate needs more support than you can give, walk them down to 30 Nelson Street on a Monday.

Let's save our men, together.

⚓ Introducing The Anchor Youth Champions ⚓

Over the last two days, something really special has happened.

A group of young men from across Inverclyde came together to complete ASIST su***de intervention training, developing the confidence, knowledge and skills to support others when life becomes difficult.

These aren’t just young people who turned up for a course. These are young men we have known for years through our Football Academy, community projects, schools work and wider Anchor programmes. We’ve watched them grow, overcome challenges, support one another and become positive role models within their communities.

Now they are taking the next step.

The Anchor Youth Champions will play an important role in supporting younger people, volunteering within the charity, helping at community events, contributing to awareness campaigns and continuing to create conversations about mental health, wellbeing and belonging.

What stood out most over the two days wasn’t the training itself. It was the compassion, maturity, courage and willingness to step forward for others. The discussions were honest, thoughtful and powerful. The future of Inverclyde is in good hands with young people like these leading the way.

We also want to recognise the families who have supported these young men on their journey. Their encouragement, belief and commitment have helped shape the people they are becoming.

A huge thank you to Brian and everyone at Morton in the Community for allowing us to use Cappielow Stadium. It was a fantastic venue and a fitting place to launch this next chapter as Scotland begin their World Cup campaign.

This is only the beginning.

The next generation aren’t waiting for change.

They’re helping to lead it. 💛

When you are in a mental health crisis, the last thing you need is a waiting list. That’s why our Monday Safety Support is built differently.

Every single Monday from 10 AM to 6 PM, our hub at 30 Nelson Street is open for walk-ins for anyone aged 18+. You don’t need a doctor's referral, an appointment, or a formal diagnosis. You just need to walk through the door.

Our professional, non-clinical team is here to listen, validate, and help you find stable ground.

The excitement is massive as Scotland gears up for the World Cup kickoff this week! But as the football fever grows, so does the visibility of sports betting and gambling advertising 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️

We are hyper-focused on the dangers of early gambling and gaming exposure for young people. What starts as a harmless mobile game or a quick bet on the match can quickly lead to isolation, debt, and severe mental health crises for young people.

Let’s enjoy the tournament, but let’s look out for the team off the pitch. If gambling is impacting your mental health or your family's stability, reach out. We are here to talk.

🏆 Congratulations 🏆

Huge congratulations to Greenock Juniors 2009s on winning the West Region Cup on Sunday.

This is a group of young people we have connected with for over 2 years, watching boys become amazing young men and to see them win their huge game on Sunday was the icing on the cake ⚽️

We wish them well with the rest of their journey through football, and know that anytime you need to chat, our door is always open ❤️

We are delighted that some of them will be helping our charity as volunteers 👏

Celebrating Another Incredible Memorial Match! ⚓️🏆⚽️

Saturday was another absolutely brilliant day for our community at the memorial match! A massive congratulations to Jamie Martin and his team for taking home this year’s title. Most importantly, the real victory of the day is how our community comes together to turn shared loss into a positive legacy.

This year, the tournament is proudly supporting two vital local organisations, including us here at The Anchor and Mind Mosaic Child & Family Therapies.

Finally, a massive shoutout to this year's local sponsors who stepped up to make the day possible:

⚽️ CLYDE EATS
⚽️ Craig Molloy Coaching C.I.C
⚽️ Bonnie Competitions
⚽️ Liam Martin Gas Services

Thank you, Inverclyde. Together, we are creating connections and building true stability. 💙💛

Miles of Hope: Nicky Low Raises £7,122.21 in Memory of Joe Cooke ⚓️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

As many of you know, Nicky Low recently took on his final major charity challenge, and we are incredibly proud that he chose The Anchor as one of the partners.

To honour the memory of his dear friend Joe Cooke, a tragic loss deeply felt by everyone who knew him, Nicky pushed his body to the absolute limit. He cycled 120 miles and ran a full marathon across 3 days. A monumental physical and mental test, but as Nicky said, nothing compared to the reason behind it.

To Nicky, to Joe's family, and to every single person who donated or cheered: thank you. You are helping us build a safer Inverclyde ⚓️
