Did you know that Inverclyde Faith in Throughcare (IFIT) is proudly based at the historic Dutch Gable House in Greenock? ποΈ
The Dutch Gable House, located on William Street, is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Greenock and dates all the way back to 1755. It stands as a reminder of the town's rich maritime and trading heritage, with its distinctive Dutch-style gable making it one of Greenock's most recognisable historic buildings. πβ
The building underwent a major restoration project in 1984, helping to preserve this important piece of Inverclyde's history for future generations. Behind the Dutch Gable House sits what is believed to be the oldest house in Greenock, making this small corner of the town a fascinating link to our past. π π
Today, this historic building continues to serve the local community as the home of IFIT, supporting individuals as they rebuild their lives and move forward with hope, dignity and purpose. β€οΈ
History and hope under one roof. π
