We have storage!

Thanks Giant Storage in Frome for giving us all this lovely space. At OpenStoryTellers we are so creative, we sometimes create so much we can't move!

This is giving us a much needed place to store some of our wonderful things so we can keep on creating!

Thank you Jenna ! Your support means a lot to us at Openstorytellers The Frome Independent

This week is Learning Disability week and the theme is 'Do You See Me?'. At OpenStoryTellers, we believe that knowing our rights is important and we use our creative voice to let people know, be seen and be heard.

We have been working with groups in Somerset and B&NES (with our friends ) and sharing why our rights are important - they give us FREEDOM, they PROTECT us and they make sure things are FAIR.

We have been talking about issues such as health, employment, housing and leisure and lots more. These groups have been speaking up through music, art, movement, poetry and music to share their stories with people who make decisions that affect their lives.

Join the OpenStoryTellers Wellbeing Group at Frome Festival for a unique guided walk designed to nurture your body, calm your mind, and leave you feeling connected.

Along the way you will experience site-specific movement and poetry inspired by the landscape and the group will guide you through simple wellbeing activities that are suitable for all, including yoga, mindfulness activities, and guided relaxation.

Step outside, slow down and reconnect with nature. Leave feeling refreshed, connected, and restored.

Location: Starting and finishing at OpenStoryTellers Hub, Rise. Walking along the river, via Henley Way to Welshmill Roundhouse.

Accessibility: The walk involves steps down to the river, please contact OpenStoryTellers to arrange alternative access.

Tickets: Tickets are available from Frome Festival Box Office: https://fromefestival.co.uk/event/whispers-of-the-wild-a-nature-connection-wellbeing-walk/

A note on accessibility: The ramp at Henley Way was removed in July 2025 and there is no current plan to replace this due to funding costs. We are very sorry that this Wellbeing Walk is not fully accessible but hope that we can use this to highlight the importance of a ramp being reinstated at Henley Way. Our artists have chosen to use this route because the longer way round via Jenson Button bridge isn’t accessible for them due to length.
