Over the weekend the Beavers held their first Beaver Camp since since 2021!

The Beavers were able to take part in over 50 activities as part of the Beaver Birthday Bash Adventure Day at Woodhouse Park Activity Centre !

Some notable moments include reaching the top of the Climbing Tower, playing laser tag, attempting to build flintstone karts and getting the opportunity to interacting with other beavers from Bristol, Wales and Wiltshire !

This evening we have began the set up for our first Beaver Camp in a number of years

When I became the Group Lead Volunteer over a year and half ago it was one of my key aims to get the beavers camping under canvas again. So after a few failed attempts the fact that we are now 3 days away from our first camp (of many) it is quite astounding!

We are still on the hunt to find a new Beaver Leader to help support our growing section, this could be you or someone you know! Get in touch today!

Who does not like a good camp fire in the woods scouts made damper bread and added so much chocolate spread and jam I think they might have gone home a bit hyper, followed by a sing song around the fire and wide games. Monday the beaver and cubs had such a good times building dens and orienteering. Seeing children just being children playing in the woods and having fun laughing no brain zapping phones or tech this to me is what childhood and scouting is all about.
