Intro to Social Justice Evening Course, Frome If you're interested in finding out why and how inequalities occur but don't know where to start - this 10 week evening course is for you!

The course runs every Wednesday evening (6pm - 9pm) for 10 weeks starting 22nd September 2021 and ending on the 24th November. This 10 week evening course will introduce you to core concepts and perspectives of social justice. By the final session you will have explored and unpacked systems of inequality: their root causes, your personal relationship to them, and how best to challenge them in your

own lives. You'll explore and interrogate the huge global systems of Capitalism, Patriarchy and Colonialism and learn how to relate these to social justice theory, everyday occurrences, social norms and attitudes. You'll be supported to do some deep (and sometimes hard!) self-reflection on the ways we all contribute to and reproduce harmful ideas that fuel these systems. You will map out how injustice affects those different from you and the ways in which you can challenge and disrupt inequalities and oppression in both small and big ways.
