๐ŸŽ‰ Family Quiz Night ๐ŸŽ‰

What a fantastic evening we had at our Family Quiz Night on Saturday!

Families came together for an evening full of fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition. Teams put their knowledge to the test across a variety of rounds, including riddles, cereal varieties, children's characters, and much more.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, working together, and enjoying the challenge. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening such a success. We hope you all had as much fun as we did, and we look forward to seeing you at our next Scout Group event!

Congratulations to our winning teams! ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘

On Monday 6th July, starting at 6.30pm we will be holding our Annual Review meeting. This is an opportunity to hear about the fun and experiences which our Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels have got up to over the past year and to hear from our Trustee Board about their role in ensuring we keep our hall in good order with funds to run our programme. If you have an interest in Scouting, you are very welcome to join us.

๐ŸLast night, we celebrated World Bee Day! ๐Ÿ

Our brilliant Beaver Scouts created some wonderful bee hotels to help support our buzzing little friends. ๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ’›

Bees are so important for pollinating plants and helping nature thrive, so itโ€™s fantastic to see our Beavers learning about wildlife and doing their bit for the environment. ๐ŸŒโœจ

Weโ€™re incredibly proud of their creativity, teamwork, and care for nature โ€” and weโ€™re sure the bees will love their new homes! ๐Ÿ๐Ÿก

Our Beavers had a fantastic time on our last night before the Easter holidays! ๐Ÿฃ

We got creative with some Easter crafts and then took part in our annual Cadbury Creme Egg roll to see who could get closest to the cone. ๐Ÿฅš๐ŸŽฏ

The winner even took home a prize! ๐Ÿ†

Who knew Creme Eggs donโ€™t roll straight?! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Wishing everyone a lovely Easter break! ๐ŸŒท

On the 18th March 1927, 1st West Moors Scout Group was registered with "The Boy Scouts Association Imperial Headquarters".
This means that Scouting has been in the village for 99 years and 2027 will see us celebrating our centenary.
Over the coming 12 months we will be planning a series of events to celebrate this momentous achievement.
We also look forward to catching up with former members. If you, or someone you know, has been a youth member or adult volunteer with the Group, we'd love to hear from you.

๐Ÿพ Beavers Take on the Smartie Challenge! ๐Ÿพ

As part of their Money Skills activity badge, our brilliant Beavers took on Tic-Tac's Smartie Tube Challenge, filling tubes with 20p coins to raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind ๐Ÿฆฎ๐Ÿ’™

Thanks to their hard work (and some very generous supporters!), they raised an amazing ยฃ97 ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ‰

A huge well done to all our Beavers and thank you to everyone who donated and supported them. Every coin really does make a difference! ๐Ÿงก
