🚨 𝗨𝗥𝗚𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗔𝗟 — 𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗦 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗧𝗢𝗗𝗔𝗬🙏
We don’t do this lightly. We’re putting everything out there right now because this boy has nowhere to go - and his clock is ticking. 💔

Meet Dennis a stunning 18-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer, UK-bred, recently neutered, and through absolutely no fault of his own, facing one of the scariest moments of his young life.

We had a foster home lined up for him. A wonderful carer, ready and waiting. Then a sudden personal emergency turned everything upside down overnight, and Dennis is now left without a landing place🥲

All of our current foster homes are full. Which means right now, we need YOU.

Dennis is a big, beautiful, energetic boy with a lot of love to give but he needs someone who truly gets dogs like him. He’s a little headstrong, has natural prey drive, but is incredibly loving and loyal. He’s the kind of dog who will give you everything once he trusts you. But he needs space to breathe literally and figuratively.

Dennis needs:
🏡 A semi-rural or rural setting
🚫 No cats
👨‍👩‍👦 Adult-only household

🐾 An experienced dog owner or foster carer who understands working/sporting breeds.

💪 Someone confident, calm, and consistent

This isn’t a placement for a first-time dog owner and we’ll be honest with you because Dennis deserves honesty. He needs someone who understands sensitive, switched-on dogs and won’t be fazed by the challenge.

If you can offer Dennis a temporary foster home while we find him his forever family - even for a few weeks - you could literally change the course of his life. 🙏

❤️ 𝗠𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲. 🐾
I was born in Cyprus. I don’t know why I was left behind, but I was - pregnant and frightened and alone. So I did the only thing I knew how to do. I loved my puppies with everything I had, and I watched every single one of them find their person.

….And then I waited for mine.

A family found me. Children who played with me every day. I thought - this is it. This is my moment. But war doesn’t care about moments like that. They had to leave suddenly, and they couldn’t take me with them. I watched the gate stay closed and I didn’t understand why.

I waited some more.

When things got uncertain in Cyprus, the rescue humans put out a plea for dogs like me. There was hope for a while. But it wasn’t my time yet.

So here I am. In the UK now, with my foster mum Lesley who is absolutely wonderful. I live with a Vizsla called Ziggy and a cat called CoCo and honestly? I’m much more interested in the humans. Always the humans. 🥰

I will follow you everywhere. Every single room. I just need to be near you - is that so much to ask?

I’m good with cats 🐱
I’m good with dogs 🐕
I’m wonderful with children 👧🧒
I’m house trained ✅

But most importantly - I have so much love stored up inside me. Years of it. Waiting for the right person to give it to.

I’m not a difficult dog. I’m not a damaged dog. I’m just a girl who has lost a lot, loved anyway, and never - not once stopped believing that my person is out there.

While the Banjo squad were inside demolishing a special delivery of Sprats from Bentley’s… Boby was out in the garden living his best life 🌿🏃

Until the sniff hit him. 👃💨

Cue one very speedy Spanish pointer absolutely legging it back inside 😂🐕

He loves that garden… but not THAT much, Boby!! 🤣

🐾 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗴. 𝗛𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁.❤️
We need you to stop scrolling for just a moment. Because this boy’s story is one you need to read.

Linus is a beautiful 3-year-old English Pointer, currently in Turkey, and he has been through more in his short life than most dogs will ever face. Found in a government shelter in a shocking state severely malnourished, a walking skeleton he also had a badly broken leg from what we believe was a hunting accident. Someone had tried to operate. It hadn’t worked. There were still metal pins causing him pain, and an open wound that hadn’t healed.

When he could no longer hunt, his owner walked away and left him🥲 His rescue angels didn’t.

His leg couldn’t be saved, and the kindest thing to do was amputate. And what happened next? This brave, sensitive, wonderful boy - who had the hiccups for 24 hours straight after his surgery because he was so frightened, and broke the hearts of every single person at that vet clinic - picked himself back up.

And now? He runs. He sniffs. He zooms. He leans against the people he loves and tries to get as close to them as physically possible.

Linus didn’t just survive. He came back to himself. 🧡

🙋 “But three legs… isn’t that really hard?”

We get this. And we want to be honest with you tripawds do need a little understanding. But here’s what we also know: three-legged dogs live full, joyful, completely wonderful lives. We have supporters within our own community whose tripawds are thriving, and we would love to connect you with them if you have any worries at all. You won’t be on your own with this.

We also have videos of Linus out and about moving, running, living and another of him sitting contentedly in a volunteer’s lap getting tickles. Watch them and tell us he needs your sympathy. He doesn’t. He just needs your sofa.

💛 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀:
A home that will love him for exactly who he is a loyal, affectionate, nose-to-the-ground Pointer who still thinks every walk is a hunting expedition and every human is his best friend.

✅ Great with other dogs
✅ Neutered
✅ Blood tests clear
✅ Full vet assessment done
✅ Ready to travel to the UK NOW
✅ No history of aggression
❌ Not suitable for cats
❌ Not suitable for a home that doesn’t allow dogs on the sofa🤣

He needs an active home. Linus has the spirit of a dog half his age and a nose that will drag him joyfully through every hedgerow in the country. A garden and a love of the outdoors would make his world.

Linus was abandoned because someone decided he wasn’t useful anymore.

We think he’s one of the most remarkable dogs we’ve ever had the privilege of helping.

𝗣𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲. His person is out there. Somebody who will look at this boy and see not what he’s missing, but everything he has to give.
