☕️ Our second coffee morning was another great success!

Fourteen ladies joined us for a relaxed and enjoyable morning, with plenty of time to chat, unwind, and get to know each other better.

Everyone agreed that these gatherings are a wonderful way to build friendships and stay connected, so we’ve decided to make them a regular event.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the next coffee morning on Wednesday 1st July. ☕️😊

☕️ Our second coffee morning was another great success!

Fourteen ladies joined us at Ferndown Forest golf club for a relaxed and enjoyable morning, with plenty of time to chat, unwind, and get to know each other better.

At our last WI meeting, we were delighted to welcome Alan Jenkins as our guest speaker.

Alan is a retired Police Inspector who served for over 32 years with Merseyside and Dorset Police. During his career he worked in Public Order, Counter-Terrorism, Training and Operations, and was responsible for planning and commanding Royal Visits, as well as overseeing the Dog Section and Public Order teams.

His talk, “The Royal Visit That Went Wrong!”, gave us a fascinating insight into the extensive planning required for a medium-sized Royal Visit. Alan then shared the story of one particular visit where almost everything that could go wrong did go wrong! His humorous and engaging account of a very challenging day had everyone entertained and provided a unique glimpse behind the scenes of policing and royal events.

We would like to thank Alan for such an informative, interesting and enjoyable evening.
