Turn up your Volume 🔊
Press, play and listen to why our brand - new garden, Lowenek, is so incredibly special to us.

In Cornish, Lowenek means ' Cheerful, joyful, and happy' - the perfect description for this vibrant space!

It features accessible pathways, sensory flowers, and raised beds built for relaxation and gentle gardening.

This hub is home to our new pilot project,
' Growing Together' , supporting the Falmouth Community.

The Cornish wind and mizzle couldn't stop us last week ! We moved inside for a wonderful indoor garden tea party packed with cakes and refreshments.

Our clients loved seeing faces old and new, topped off with a stroll around the new grounds.

Special thanks :

This project took a huge team effort. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to:

- The Mayor of Falmouth for performing our official ribbon - cutting.

- Muddy Wellies Gardens for bringing this beautiful space to life.

- Everyone inside and outside of Falmouth Age UK Day Centre and Age UK Cornwall & The Isles of Scilly , The National Lottery Community Fund and all those behind the scenes who made this possible.

We can't wait to watch our community grow together here !

If you wish to get involved and provide an activity to our clients or our community with this beautiful space please do get in touch.

Equally you may wish to bring your loved one who also loves garden spaces to have a taster session at our Hub.

Royal Cornwall Show – Saturday Closure

It is with great regret that following a thorough assessment of forecast weather conditions and their impact on the showground, the difficult decision has been taken to cancel the final day of the Royal Cornwall Show on Saturday.

The safety and wellbeing of our visitors, exhibitors, competitors, members, staff, volunteers and contractors has been central to this decision and remains our highest priority.

We recognise how disappointing this news will be for everyone involved, particularly those who had planned to attend, exhibit or compete, and we would like to thank all our stakeholders for their patience, understanding and support.

Further information for ticket holders, exhibitors, competitors, members and other stakeholders will be communicated as soon as possible through the Royal Cornwall Show’s official channels.

Walking at Human Pace - a story by Nicole Herridge.

We are so proud to have an amazing team of brilliant staff and volunteers. Each person is on their own unique journey, yet together, they share a common goal to support local people and improve wellbeing across Cornwall.

Nicole, Age UK Cornwall Administrative Assistant at Falmouth Community Hub, set out on her own remarkable journey walking across the three islands of Malta.

This transformative experience motivated her to pen her first blog post on her coach's website - read it in full here.
