So good to see you all this morning and to welcome some new faces, hope you felt welcomed and enjoyed your time with us. It's so lovely to get together on Monday morning and catch up with each other over coffee and cake while the children play, such a refreshing way to start the week.
Today we made creation plates, played with rainbow rice and had the story about the wise man building his house on the rock. As we enjoyed our bacon sandwichs, Amanda spoke to us briefly about names and their meanings and about Gods names and meanings, Rock, Healer, Creator, Father. Remembering these can help us to relate to God a little easier.

So lovely to see so many of you this morning and to welcome some new faces, and some we haven't seen in awhile. There was a lovely buzz to the space as everyone was chatting, catching up with friends and making new ones. The children were playing well together, especially with our veggie printing and planting in our craft section.( for those who are interested the 'soil' is 3 cups flour, 1/2 cup cocoa powder and 1/2 cup veg oil). Our veggie theme continued into our story, and our Refresh talk, we're we thought about how God sustains us when life doesn't run smoothly.

It was so good to celebrate today with Martin,🎂 one of our loyal volunteers, and to see some families that we haven't seen in awhile, we missed you. The theme today was what/who influences us and taking time to fill ourselves with positive things. We created sunshines at the craft table to thank God for the lovely weather we had in half term, and some children made some great imaginative creations with the blocks. While we ate our sausage baps, Tina encouraged us with our Refresh talk, that while parenting young children is hard, we are all in it together and to look for the positives in our lives, and the more we focus on the positives, the more they influence us.

Little Sparks was all about sheep🐑. We made our own fluffy sheep and had a story about The Good Shepherd who lost a sheep but kept looking till he found it again. Then during our Refresh time, while we ate our waffles and fruit, we heard about Sparky, the little sparks sheep who is going to London, along with sheep from toddler groups all over the country, to the Houses of Parliament for a display and meeting, to mark the start of National Month of Prayer for Toddler Groups and to remind the MPs about the support and friendship that these groups offer parents of young children. Next week is half term so we won't be meeting but remember Soul Food Sunday 🍕at 4pm on the 31st and next Little Sparks is Mon 1st June.

It’s raining and it’s not too late to book for Little Sparks this morning if you are looking for somewhere to play and some company and cake. 🍰
