Cyclist taken to hospital following collision in Eastbourne

Thanks to Horsham District Council and our friends at Horsham District Cycling Forum and Cycling UK Brighton and Hove, we have begun discussions with GTR – the company that runs Southern and Gatwick Express trains.

Recently, bike storage straps and useful stickers were removed from Class 377 trains – effectively eliminating the storage of bikes from the space designed for them.

With an important intention to create maximum usable space for disabled passengers, we wonder whether GTR has gone about this the right way – and we suggest that communication of these changes has been inadequate.

There is more discussion and research to do, but it's good to be involved in fixing this confusion. Passengers with bikes deserve to know what they can expect when they travel by train.
