We had an extra work session in Meadow Park yesterday. Pictures show sorting out damage to Wild Service Tree and erecting a pole to hold Bateman gate open 😀

I am happy to announce that Meadow Park has now been designated as a Local Nature Reserve!. This recognises its benefit to the local public and its importance as a species rich lowland meadow (97% of lowland meadows have been lost in the UK since the 1930's). Thanks go to RBC and ELPC, and particularly to the members and volunteers of the Friends of Meadow Park, who work to maintain the park for the benefit of the village.🙂🦋🙂 (29/09/26).

Pollution entering Kingston Brook, between Kingfisher and Kestrel bridges. outlet pipe on northern bank. Reported to Severn Trent. Would be advisable to keep dogs out of the brook at this time.🙁(16/09/26)

Some snap shots from today’s work party in the Park - We moved the dead hedge and made a start on the recommend distance for the firebreak. Thank you to all the fabulous volunteers who give up their time to carry out these important tasks 🤩

Snaps from the work party in Meadow Park yesterday - managed to cut back quite a bit to make the pathways more accessible - It was a good turn out & good fun as always ☺️

This month’s work party took advantage of the recent low rainfall which allowed the Kingston Brook level to drop to allow us to wear waders and start the first stage of the work requested by TVIDB to adjust the flow of the brook.

This first stage concentrated on the area around Kestrel bridge and upstream towards Kingfisher Bridge which involved removing restrictions under and around the supports of Kestrel bridge and removing a minimum of low lying branches on the bank side up to Kingfisher Bridge
