After February’s completely SOLD OUT Comedy Night…
…the one where people laughed too much, drank too much, and then immediately demanded another one…

🎙️ MC: Doug Carter – award-winning, razor sharp, and dangerously good with a crowd.

🔥 Ricky Balshaw – Paralympian turned comedian bringing brilliantly honest, no-filter comedy.

🎯 Eddy Midgley – BBC Comedy Roadshow performer with huge laughs and top-tier writing.

💥 Dawn Bailey – often called the female Peter Kay… and trust us… once she gets going, you’re finished.

We've been busy bees recently with Ram Comedy Festival, but don't worry we have plenty of exciting stuff in the pipeline! Next big one in the diary is returning to East Leake village hall for another fundraising effort with Cheers4Beers. That's a pretty tasty line up aswell!

🎤 CHEERS4BEERS COMEDY NIGHT #2 😂🔥

So… after February’s Comedy Night, where people laughed, cried, nearly fell off their chairs… and then spent the next week asking when the next one was….

👉 We’ve only gone and done it again.

And this time… we’re basically calling it…

👉 East Leake’s very own Edinburgh Fringe Festival (minus the rain, plus a proper bar 🍻)

We haven’t just booked “a few comedians”…

We’ve somehow pulled together a line-up that has no right being this good for a village hall 👀

Doug Carter is running the show – award-winning, razor sharp, and the kind of MC who will have the whole room laughing before you’ve even found your seat (or finished your first drink).

Opening is Ricky Balshaw – Paralympian turned comedian bringing brilliantly honest, no-filter comedy that hits hard and keeps coming.

Then comes Eddy Midgley, straight from BBC Comedy Roadshow, turning the night up a level with proper big laughs and top-tier delivery.

And closing…

Dawn Bailey – often called the female Peter Kay – and once she gets going, that’s it… game over. Mascara ruined. Drinks spilled. You questioning why you’re laughing at things you absolutely shouldn’t.

Now… a quick reality check…

Last time this sold out TWO MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT.

People were messaging us like ticket detectives…
“Any spares?”, “Can I squeeze in?”, “Got a mate who might not come…”, and then there was Rich, who forgot to buy any at all....
No. No you don’t 😅

🍻 CHEERS4BEERS – THANK YOU EAST LEAKE ❤️

Well… what a night 👀

Saturday’s Bubbles & Bingo was an absolute belter from start to finish…

💃 The dancing
🍾 The prosecco (91 bottles of it… yes, really 😳)
🎱 The bingo chaos
😂 And of course… the Bo***ge kit, yes the less said about that the better.....

But most importantly…

👉 Together we raised OVER £2,900 for local good causes in East Leake 🙌

This year that support means even more. With the cancellation of the village carnival, events like this are absolutely vital in helping support:

* The Village Hall
* East Leake Bantams
* The Scouts

So every ticket bought, every raffle entry, every drink and every slightly questionable dance move genuinely made a difference ❤️

👉 Our amazing volunteers who give up their time to make these events happen

🍾 CHEERS4BEERS – LISTEN UP 👀

We’ve been “making a few tweaks” behind the scenes… which loosely translates to we’ve added more chaos, more prizes and somehow made it even harder for anyone to behave themselves 💃🍸

🎱 THE 6TH GAME… BECAUSE FIVE WASN’T ENOUGH
So… we’ve only gone and added a 6th Bingo Game at the end of the night.
It’s £2 per person, it happens when you’re already a few proseccos deep…
and the prize?

🌿 An Evening Spa Experience at Ragdale Hall Spa for Two People (including a two course dinner as well)

Yes… you could go from shouting “TWO FAT LADIES” to sitting in a robe pretending you’re calm and relaxed. There's a joke in there somewhere.

🔥 NEW BITS WE’VE ADDED (YOU’RE WELCOME / SORRY IN ADVANCE)
We’ve introduced The ACCUMULATOR… yes CAFE-AMBIENCE's favourite prize builder makes an appearance - which means there’s a prize building in the background while everyone pretends they understand what’s going on 👀

And then there’s FORFEITS OF FATE..…which sounded like a great idea at the time.…until someone you know ends up doing something they’ll be reminded about for the next 3–5 years 💀😂

🍍 YES… IT’S BACK
The Human Fruit Machine returns. Thats not an upside down Pineapple Emoji.... and we don’t really need to explain it…because if you know, you know…and if you don’t… you’re about to find out the hard way 🍌🍒🍍

🎁 RAFFLE TIME (AND IT’S A GOOD ONE)
We’ve got some cracking prizes floating around… A £50 voucher from Six Acre Nurseries, a meal from Bryers, goodies from Elms Farm (including Pumpkin Patch tickets 👀), vouchers for The Nags Head, £25 from the Star Inn at West Leake… and a Bottomless Prosecco Afternoon Tea at Café Ambience.

Basically… if you don’t win something, it’s probably your own fault.

🍽️ FOOD… BECAUSE SURVIVAL IS IMPORTANT
We’ve levelled up the food this time too…

Gyros, loaded fries, halloumi… all the good stuff that soaks up bad decisions.

Doors open at 7:00PM… and not a second before (don’t try it, we’ve seen you 👀)

We kick things off at 7:25PM, and by 7:40PM it’s eyes down and game on. Our license expires at 12:30am...... oooooh I hear you say.

This isn’t just bingo…It’s a full night of questionable dancing, too much prosecco, very loud shouting, and somehow… someone winning a spa day at the end of it all 😏

👀👀Well… that escalated quickly 👀👀

Bubbles & Bingo is now completely SOLD OUT.
As in… nothing, nada, completely gone, not a chance in hell of getting a ticket now 😬

We thought we had time… a few days maybe…
Turns out you lot had other ideas and absolutely wiped us out 💃🍸

If you’ve got a ticket — congratulations, you’re in for a night of chaos, dancing, and bingo that’s gone wildly off script 😏 .....If you didn’t… well… you’ll just have to hear about it the next day 👀

We’re already planning the next event… and based on this, it’s safe to say it won’t hang around for long.

We’ve smashed through 100 tickets 😳 ....and there are around 20 left.
Yes… TWENTY.

That’s basically:
👉 one loud table, and
👉 two sensible couples (unlikely) together with
👉 Rich realising he hasn't booked the tickets yet again for this event....

Once they’re gone… they’re gone… and you’ll be watching everyone else having the night of their lives thinking: “Why didn’t I just book it?!” 😭

We’re bringing a full-blown comedy night to the village, headlined by the incredible Nick Page – Britain’s Got Talent finalist and English Comedian of the Year. Yes, really. Yes, we’re still pinching ourselves.

🎉🥂 EAST LEAKE… YOU’VE ONLY GONE AND SMASHED IT! 🥂🎉

We are buzzing, emotional, and possibly still 30% prosecco… because thanks to YOU, our wild and wonderful Bubbles & Bingo crowd, we raised an absolutely incredible:

🎉 £2,861 🎉

That’s nearly three grand of pure East Leake generosity, bingo-related chaos, and community spirit!

This fantastic total will now be split between:
🏫 Brookside Primary School
🏫 Lantern Lane Primary School
🏫 Millside Primary School
🚽 And the East Leake Village Hall — who now definitely need new toilets after hosting us…

Thank you to every single one of you who came, laughed, danced, forfeited, shouted “HOUSE!”, spun the wheel, won Bill the Unicorn, survived Bag No. 8, and helped make this night unforgettable.
