We get a lot of help from all sorts of people when we hold Bishops Waltham Garden Fair , for which we are especially grateful. I want to give special thanks to Andy Clifton though who sets up all our electrics, provides walkie talkies , does the public address system and all and everything else electrical. He is always there for us, cheerfully giving up his time, arriving in his trusty land rover, covered not only in moss, but lichen…there is no other vehicle quite like it. So a huge shout out to Andy, because we really couldn’t do it without him .

It gives me great pleasure to announce that Bishops Waltham Garden Fair has donated £13,000 to St John Eye Hospital from our various fundraising activities this year. We help to support the work of Huda, an orthoptist who is an expert in diagnosing and treating defects in eye movement and problems with how the eyes work together. Most of the patients she treats are children. We are proud to be able to support Huda’s work which makes such a huge difference to the well being of so many children. We would like to thank all those who have helped us in so many different ways to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause.

We had such a lovely day on Sunday and we couldn’t have done it without the help and support of Warsash Naval Cadets, Meon Valley Explorer Scouts, our volunteer helpers , lovey stall holders and visitors.
