🧡Laughy cafe will recommence tomorrow- Tuesday 8th September at the usual time of 9:30 am - 11:30 am (last orders for breakfast is at 10:30 am).

💛Lunch Club will recommence on Thursday 10th September. Note our revised time is now 12:00 - 1:30 pm.

Please take note of the following information regarding parking at our site.

⛔️ Site Access and Parking Information ⛔️

Please do not arrive any sooner than 10 minutes before any of our activities start. You may not be able to gain entry to our site before 9:15am. The school gates may be closed between 8:45am and 9:15am. Therefore do not arrive before 9:15/20 am.

This is to help avoid traffic congestion around Laurel Avenue and the car park during school drop-off times.

Parking Responsibly ‼️

When parking on our site, please ensure that you park in a marked bay within the car park.

If the car park is full, you must park off-site on the estate and walk to the school.

🚫 The following parking is strictly prohibited:

• Parking on the pavement
• Parking in the loading area (marked with yellow hash lines)
• Parking in an accessible parking space without displaying a valid badge

If you park incorrectly, you will be asked to move your vehicle.

These arrangements are in place to help keep everyone safe, including you! And to protect all visitors to our school, nursery, family hub and community centre, who all share the same site.

And that’s a wrap with Summer 2026! 🥹

We’ve had a fabulous time with our children and young people! ☀️

It’s been pretty different from our usual summer programme, but we’ve still managed to pack in so many amazing activities and memories, including:

⛳ Golf at The Pin, Ramside Hall
🏊 Swimming at Freeman’s Quay, with a little time at Clayport Library
🌳 Wharton Park
🎬 A trip to the cinema to see Minions and Monsters
🔥 A sleepover with a BBQ
🦁 Chester Zoo funded by Believe Housing Limited
🎉 Four days of on-site activities, finishing with a fantastic final blast today on our water-soaking obstacle course!

Safe to say, we’ve all had lots of fun and the children definitely won the super soaking today, making sure the staff all went home absolutely soaked! 😂💦

Thank you to everyone who has participated. We can’t wait to see you all in September at our first youth session starting on Tuesday 15th September.

What a fantastic day we all had at Chester Zoo! 🦁🐘🦒

Everyone had so much fun exploring the zoo, seeing amazing animals from around the world, and learning lots of interesting facts about wildlife and conservation. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, excitement and curiosity throughout the day! 🐒🦓🦋

A huge thank you to Believe Housing for helping us to make this happen and giving us the opportunity to enjoy such a fun, educational and memorable experience together. We truly appreciate your support!

We’re incredibly proud of Hollie and all that she has achieved during her time in Vietnam! 🇻🇳

Over the past few weeks, Hollie has embraced this amazing opportunity with enthusiasm and compassion. Hollie has a real passion for making a difference. 🤩 Through her TEFL teaching experience, she has been inspiring young people, sharing knowledge and experiences, and building meaningful connections through education and cultural exchange. 🌍

Her journey is a fantastic example of what international partnerships are all about — learning from one another, stepping outside our comfort zones, and creating lasting relationships.

We’re so proud of the way Hollie has represented Team Laurel and the values we stand for. Her commitment to empowering young people and supporting others to find their voice truly reflects why youth work matters. 💚

Well done, Hollie! Thank you for representing us so brilliantly and for embracing every moment of this incredible adventure. We can’t wait to hear more about your experiences and the lasting impact of your time in Vietnam. ✈️🇻🇳🌏

Following the successful visit by three of our staff members to Vietnam in May, we’re excited to see Hollie now continuing the journey as we strengthen our international partnerships. 🇻🇳🤝

We wish Hollie the very best of luck as she embarks on an exciting 2+ week TEFL teaching adventure. This is another important step in building meaningful partnerships, sharing experiences, and creating lasting connections through education and cultural exchange.

TEFL is about so much more than teaching English. It’s about empowering young people across the globe to have a voice, tackle the issues affecting them most, and believe in their ability to make a difference. Youth work matters. 🌍💚

We’re incredibly proud of Hollie for embracing this opportunity to inspire students, represent us abroad, and help strengthen international relationships.

I think we’ve finally recovered from Tuesday’s BBQ and sleepover! The wind nearly put an end to the BBQ, but thankfully it eased later in the evening, and it was safe for us to carry on.

I’m so glad we did, as some of the children said it was the best BBQ they’d ever had! 🍗🔥👩‍🍳
