Afghan community Durham came together with open hearts to support our brothers and sisters in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, who have lost everything in the recent devastating earthquake.

With unity, generosity, and compassion, our community gathered donations to bring relief and hope to families who are struggling to rebuild their lives after this tragedy.

This effort is not just about financial support,it is about showing that even far from home, we stand with our people in their time of need 🇬🇧 🫂 🤝 🇦🇫

We extend our deepest prayers to those who have lost loved ones, and we promise to continue supporting recovery efforts in any way we can. May Allah grant patience, strength, and healing to all affected. 🕊️

🌟 A Heartfelt Thank You 🌟

We are truly grateful—from the bottom of our hearts—to the amazing team at the Gilesgate & belmont Wellbeing Project for standing with vulnerable families—especially Afghan families—during these difficult times. 💙

Over the past years, they’ve not only provided a welcoming space to celebrate our cultural traditions, but also helped our community stay connected and supported.

Today, even before we arrived, they had already prepared food parcels for Afghan families in Gilesgate. What a beautiful gesture! 🙏

Thank you, Wellbeing Project, from the bottom of our hearts, for your continued kindness and support.

موږ د جایلزګیټ او بلمونت د ویلبینګ پروژې ټیم ته د زړه له تله مننه کوو، چې پدې سختو ورځو کې یې له اړمنو، په ځانګړي ډول له افغانو کورنیو سره، نه ستړې کېدونکې مرسته کړې ده. 💙

د تېر وڅو کالو راهیسې، دوی نه یوازې موږ ته د کلتوري دودونو د لمانځلو لپاره مناسب ځای برابر کړی، بلکې زموږ د ټولنې د یووالي او خپلمنځي ملاتړ لپاره هم ډېر خدمت کړی دی.

نن، تر دې وړاندې چې موږ هلته ورشو، دوی د جایلزګیټ افغانو کورنیو ته د خوراکي توکو بستې چمتو کړې وې. دا رښتیا هم یو ښکلی کار و! 🙏

له ویلبینګ پروژې څخه د زړه له تله مننه کوو، چې تل زموږ تر څنګ ولاړ دي.

ما از تیم عالی پروژه‌ی سلامتی جایلزگیت و بلمونت از صمیم قلب سپاسگزاری می‌کنیم که در این روزهای دشوار در کنار خانواده‌های نیازمند، به‌ویژه خانواده‌های افغان، ایستاده‌اند. 💙

در طول چند سال گذشته، آن‌ها نه تنها فضای مناسبی را برای برگزاری مراسم‌های فرهنگی ما فراهم کردند، بلکه باعث شدند تا خانواده‌های افغان با هم در ارتباط بمانند و احساس حمایت کنند.

امروز، حتی پیش از آنکه ما برسیم، آن‌ها برای خانواده‌های افغان در جایلزگیت بسته‌های مواد غذایی آماده کرده بودند. چه اقدام زیبایی! 🙏

از پروژه‌ی سلامتی جایلزگیت از صمیم قلب تشکر می‌کنیم که همواره در کنار ما هستند.

Last week, we had an amazing day at Crimdon Beach with our Afghan Community Durham, enjoying the sunshine, laughter, and fun activities with children and adults. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, relax, and create beautiful memories together. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this day so special!
