Happy end of the first half term of 2026/27! Hasn't it flown by?

Our wonderful young artists have been busy this week creating a special Christmas design for you and your wider family. More information about this, and the proofs will be available when we return after half term.

A quick reminder that the Friends of Dunster School AGM will take place on Tuesday 3rd November. You don't need to hold a committee position to get involved, but if you can help organise or run events, source prizes, or support in any other way, we would love to hear from you.

The school also has an open morning for anyone wanting to see what our fabulous school is all about. Please share this far and wide with anyone who may be interested.

Have a wonderful half-term break, and we look forward to seeing you all when we return.

Is your child due to start school next year?

Dunster First School, understands what a huge decision it is to entrust your child’s education to others. That’s why they go above and beyond to create a nurturing, supportive and inspiring school community where every child can thrive.

You are very welcome to the Open Day, where you can meet our wonderful Dunster teachers and supporting staff, explore our school and see for yourself what makes Dunster such a special place to learn and grow.

Come along and discover what Dunster is all about! ❤️

AGM Date Change!

Unfortunately, we need to postpone our AGM as it clashes with the Minehead Middle School Open Evening for current Year 4 pupils!

🎉Our AGM will now take place on 3rd November.🎉

With the new date leaving us a little less time to organise our Christmas fundraising event, we’d love your help! If you can assist by sourcing some fantastic raffle prizes, have a brilliant Christmas event idea, or would like to get involved in any way, we’d love to hear from you.

We’d also love to welcome some new faces to our committee. We are a “Friends” of Dunster School so even if you no longer have children at the school but want to help in anyway, please come along to the AGM, or if you can’t make it but would like to get involved, get in touch with us!

You don’t need to take on an official committee role to help. We’re always looking for people who can share ideas, lend a hand at events, and support us as committee members.

❤️The more people involved, the more we can do for our school community. ❤️

Many thanks from the fabulous FoDS crew (well, we think so!) 💪🙈🎉😉😆

Our thoughts remain with Oliver, Lucy and Matthew, and with everyone who was affected by the events of this day, one year ago. May you feel the strength of our support, the gentleness of our remembrance, and the knowledge that you are not carrying this alone. ❤️
