Last week we welcomed a group of volunteers from Lloyd & Whyte Group, a Taunton-based company, who worked hard all day (in the rain!) making improvements to the Red Garden and some other outdoor spaces at Musgrove. 🌱

A huge thank you for volunteering your time and for your fabulous hard work, to improve our outdoor spaces, for patients, families and staff to enjoy 💚

We're excited to be a charity partner for Taunton Half Marathon 2027! 🎽

📣 CHARITY PARTNER ANNOUNCEMENT

Love Musgrove - The Somerset NHS Charity have continued as a charity partner for Taunton Half Marathon in 2027. Quite a few people ran for them this year, either having friends or family who have experienced great support from the NHS in times of need or having experienced this personally

Zoe Steer from the charity says:-

“Thanks to your generosity, we’re pleased to have been able to fund new cannulation and phlebotomy chairs for the Endoscopy team here at Musgrove. These chairs provide patients with a more comfortable and supportive experience during blood sampling and cannulation.

We have also been able to fund lovely new toys for the children visiting our Day Surgery Centre. These toys will provide much-needed distraction, comfort, and fun for our younger patients, helping to make their time in hospital a little less daunting and a lot more enjoyable .It’s amazing what a difference something as simple as a new toy can make to a child’s hospital experience.

Our next Charity event is our golf day on Friday 15th May 2026 at Taunton & Pickeridge Golf Club.

The event will be in aid of Children’s services across the Somerset NHS Trust, providing play and sensory items to help our littlest patients cope with the stress and fear they experience during their treatment and appointments, allowing them to feel safe and calm. This week's goes to everyone who took part in Cycle 42 for Cancer 2026! 🚴💙

Together, you raised an incredible £31,613.11 for cancer services across Somerset, an absolutely phenomenal achievement that will make a real difference to patients and their families. 💪

A special thank you goes to Iain, Ken, Gary, Matt, Wendy, and all the amazing volunteers, sponsors, supporters, and donors who helped make this event such a success. Your dedication, generosity, and community spirit are truly inspiring.

A huge to Jacob for completing an incredible 100-mile cycle challenge and raising an amazing £562.93 for the Children’s Ward at Musgrove Park Hospital!

Jacob chose to support Love Musgrove and asked for his fundraising
to go towards the Children’s Ward, where he has received such wonderful care in the
past. What an incredible achievement and a fantastic way to give back!
