We help all girls know they can do anything. We’re Girlguiding in & around Dundee. Although we’ve been around for a while, we’ve moved with the times.

Girlguiding UK is a dynamic organisation which enables girls and young women to develop their potential and make a difference to the world. Since 1910, Girlguiding UK has been empowering girls to achieve their ambitions. Our diverse learning and activity programmes are driven by what today’s girls want and are constantly evolving to match their interests and goals.

It’s not just the girls who enjoy new experiences with Girlguiding, our volunteers get stuck in too! Canoeing through the Falkirk Wheel was a highlight for one volunteer, braving the Giant Swing at PGL Dalguise was a first for another. Other volunteers get a chance to teach skills to girls and young women, and watch them grow and develop.

Did you know that you can develop skills and gain qualifications with Girlguiding? Eilidh has been improving her photography since joining our PR team, and Ellena our Walking Adviser has trained as a Mountain Leader.
Girlguiding volunteers can learn to cook over open fire, new crafting skills, and life skills such as first aid – all for free!

Earlier this month Guide units across Dundee took part in the Challenge Cup, in the form of a detective-style mystery on the streets of St Andrews. This took place on the Girlguiding Scotland public transport takeover day, and we all took the Stagecoach bus (thanks to them kindly putting on double deckers for us!)
34th Dundee Guides were the winners this year, and many of us enjoyed traditional St Andrews ice cream before heading home.
