Girlguiding & Scouting volunteers - you are invited to Newbigging's Open Day - Saturday 26th September - drop in 10am-4pm. ⛺🏹🍰

Whether you are frequent visitor or you've never been, a camper or an indoor residential person, the leader who normally makes booking or not, you're invited.

We'll have tents pitched & information about forthcoming developments. You can wander around the house & campsite, check out the kitchen, sleeping arrangements and even the loos!

If the weather is suitable you can try your hand at archery and find out how to book it for your visit. Plus free cake & crafts.

If you're coming to the Dundee Guide shop, remember we've moved premises but we're still open Wednesday and Saturday 10.30-2.30. Look out for us on the top floor of the Wellgate centre, just by the clock.

We're still stocking Girlguiding and Scouting uniforms, Girlguiding books, badges and gifts. And we now have more space for browsing and holding stock.

Come in and try for size. All profits benefit local girls and young women.

We had a great first day open in our new shop - a dad popped in for a Rainbow t-shirt in the first hour, we had a Rainbow trying on her new top before lunch, and some Cub & Scout mums in their lunch break.

Hope to see you in-store soon - top floor of Dundee's Wellgate Shopping Centre.

Huge congratulations and thanks to members of Monifieth Trefoil Guild (plus dog and grandchild) who took part in the Dundee Kiltwalk today to raise funds for equipment for our hall - the Boyack Centre in Monifieth.

One of our volunteers, Cerys, is having a great time at Our Chalet this summer.

☀️ Meet the Volunteer Team for Summer 2026 ☀️

Meet Cerys, a General Volunteer from Scotland.

Cerys has been involved in Girlguiding UK for over 10 years, first joining as a Brownie when she was 7.

Outwith Guiding, she enjoys reading, playing the violin, exploring new places on walks, and spending time outdoors — especially when it involves a campfire!

This summer at Our Chalet, Cerys is particularly looking forward to working alongside people from all around the world as part of an international community, immersing herself in different cultures and Swiss life, and learning more about WAGGGS!
