Brilliant!

🧸 Toy Box top-up!

This morning, we popped along to A&E at Ninewells to top up their toybox with some lovely new toys!

A visit to A&E can be a worrying experience for children and their families, and having a little toy to offer can help provide some comfort, distraction and a much-needed smile during their visit.

Thanks to our wonderful supporters, we're able to provide these small but meaningful touches that make a difference to children when they need it most!

FROM THE 1930s TO TODAY

BRIDGEfm’s schedule does not stick to one generation of music.

The Sunny Side of the Street reaches back to music from the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

Elsewhere you will hear the 70s, 80s, 90s, current releases, classical music, jazz, stage songs and plenty more.

If two patients in neighbouring beds have completely different music tastes, there is a decent chance we can find something for both!

Celebrating a career milestone 👏

Congratulations to Anne Sime of the Perth Intensive Home Treatment Team, who has reached an impressive 40 years of service.

Anne recently marked the occasion with colleagues from across the team and received her long-service vouchers from Louise Ewing, General Manager.

HOSPITAL RADIO FROM THE THEATRE 🎭

Long before BRIDGEfm had digital desks, streaming and DAB, hospital broadcasting in Dundee was already finding ways to entertain patients.

In August 1957, a weekly variety programme from Dundee’s Palace Theatre began being broadcast to hospital listeners every Wednesday.

Live entertainment reaching patients who could not be there themselves.

Nearly 70 years later, the technology is different but the basic idea is remarkably familiar - Bring some entertainment into the hospital!
