We offer a range of services from children and families nature events to ecotherapy and wellbeing events for adults.

Saturday Wild&Well Family session
The Wildplayground, Dumfries.

We have a weekly fun and relaxed session for all the family.

Saturdays 11am-12:30pm
£20 per family (up to 3 kids), £10 1 parent + 1 child

7th November with Leila, a mindful look at using our senses to appreciate nature, and get creative with poetry.

14th November with Poppy, using natural and found objects to create beautiful seasonal art

21st November with Ruth, a look at hibernation in Scotland with crafts and play

28th November with Rosie, rescheduled natural pigment making

We love our holiday sessions, It's a chance for the children to unwind, enjoy being in our lovely Wildplayground exploring the woods, meadow and wetland. We craft, cook on the fire, play games, use tools and make friends.

Join us on Saturday 24th to learn about making natural inks from foraged and kitchen botanicals.
Enjoy a little bit of alchemy as we explore natural dyes and paint making.

Rosie will be leading the group on an exploration of colour extracting from botanicals using heat, pressure, acid and alkalis to alter colours.

Looking for something for the kids this October holiday?

We’ve got kids camps at The Wildplayground near Dumfries.
10am-3pm, Friday 16th, Monday 19th, Friday 23rd
£35 full day, £20 half day

A chance for the kids to explore the woods, camp fire cook, practice wood working and forest skills, make friends and play in a nurturing and supportive environment.

A family session of forest bathing, sensory exploration, foraged tea and mindfulness.

Forest bathing, or shinrin-yoku, is a Japanese practice of calm, sensory immersion in nature designed to reduce stress and boost physical health.

We had a beautiful day today with so much fun making boats. Everyone loves being in the burn so we embraced the wet and got creative.

If you think your child might like to learn outdoors like this weekly we have spaces on Thursday afternoons, 1-3pm, £15.
